The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while attempting to open the hatch, the hatch opened and then unintendedly lowered within seconds. The contact stated that her husband had sustained a minor injury to the head while placing groceries in the vehicle when the hatch closed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the rear hatch motor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that she opened the power lift-gate to retrieve luggage from the rear and as the gate opened she saw some of the luggage about to fall and reached inside the vehicle. At that point, the lift-gate stopped opening and began to close. The power lift-gate then closed on the contact, breaking her hand. The dealer and manufacturer had not been contacted at the time of the complaint. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 7,000.
