1 Ignition problem

Failure Date: 09/10/2011

The passenger side power sliding door does not close properly and opens on its own intermittently. Also, once the door is closed the "open door chime" does not stop. The chime continues to go off while driving, parked and when the car is turned off with the key out of the ignition. This is obviously a safety issue. I tried contacting the dealership where the vehicle was purchased and explained to them the safety hazard defect but was told that they will not fix the problem unless I paid for it. After doing further research, I have found that this is a very common problem for all gm Mini vans especially the Uplander Mini vans, with power sliding doors. However, since there hasn't been an official safety recall, dealerships will not fix the problem without payment. Again this is a safety problem and a recall should be issued.

2 Ignition problem

Failure Date: 01/01/1901

2005 Chevrolet Uplander radio would stop working. When turning the key in ignition the engine would continue to turn over.
