36 Door problem of the 2006 Chevrolet Uplander

Failure Date: 05/20/2006

The van is equipped with dual power sliding doors. I have had multiple repairs completed and they still do not function properly. On two occasions, they shut on one of my children, once causing a 5" x 2" bruise on my 8 year old and once causing my 5 year old to limp on a sore ankle for 2 days. Additionally, every time I hit a bump, it disconnects from the sensors and sets off an alarm. My primary concern, however, was when I was driving 50 mph and the rear passenger door opened by itself. No one was injured, but it was very frightening. This is not a safe vehicle.
