Bought at 1999 Chevrolet Venture van in summer of 2003. When the car warms up, the transmission slips and clunks. Bought without warranty; didn't do it until I had driven the car 30 miles. Problem due to defective bearing; should be recalled and fixed by gm!!!.

Service engine soon light stays on. Contacted the dealership. It is a defect in the software that controls the egr -- error code p1404. Well-known problem that will cost $80 to fix.

4 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 08/28/2001

Vehicle was bucking as it was trying to accelerate up to 30-35 mph, vehicle was going up to 5-10mph when engine check light came on, steering wheel and brakes locked up, loosing total power, consumer started vehicle up 1/2 hour later and let it run, within 1 miinute, vehicle stalled again, the problem could not be duplicated, and daignostic test did not show a cause. The dealer replaced the pcm/vcm.

5 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Venture

Traction control system locked in gear and would not shift. Dealer inspected vehicle, and replaced traction control cluster, and then it locked up again. Dealer has inspected and repaired vehicle, and problem still exists. Dealer will inspect brake solenoid sensor.
