While driving accelerator cable unraveled and disengaged with no prior warning. Accelerator pedal went to floor. Consumer s had to press down hard on brakes. Then, tires burned, and heard heavy knocking in engine. Also, had to turn off vehicle to stop it. Contacted dealer, and dealer stated had never seen this happen, and it was not covered under warranty.
