The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Volt. The contact stated while shifting the into park(p), the gear shift indicator failed to register park (p) and registered that the transmission was still in drive(d) and the vehicle failed to turn off as needed. The contact stated the “shift to park” warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be repaired. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated with the failure with TSB: 19na206; however, the manufacturer informed the contact that the vehicle was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 79,600.
