Car Stall problems of the 2013 Chrysler 200

On 9/3/21 my car stalled twice while driving, no warning, no lights, then it restarted on it's own. I was in the middle of a turn with other cars approaching my car, could have gotten hit by another car. Unable to steer and horn with a low beep. On 9/4/21 st 7:30am while driving to take car to get checked out I thought I saw a spark where aux cable was inserted, I unplugged the cable, no burning smell or any other things seen.

Vehicle randomly stalls during operation. This occurred at an interstate intersection. It can occur at random times and throws no code. This is a very dangerous defect in these vehicles.

My 2013 Chrysler 200 stalls intermittently without warning. Sometime at stop light or when decelerating. Have driven through a intersection to see it stall. Have to then stop. Put into park and restart. Very scary.

My 2013 Chrysler 200 s keeps stalling. I replaced the fuel pump, bought a new battery, and had my alternator and transmission looked at, all the transmission shop found was an oil pressure code, and they cleared it.

My vehicle stalls when I slow down (1-5mph) or stop. When I'm idle the engine feels like it has no power and sometimes it feels as if it misfires. It stalls once a day. Most common moments when it stalls is when I stop going up a hill.

While driving slower, decelerating, or beginning to accelerate from a stop, the brakes and steering lock up, and then the car stalls/shuts down. This has happened over 5 times in the past 2 weeks. Prior to that, it would happen about once a week for about two months. It has occurred right before having to merge from a lane of heavy traffic (bumper-to-bumper) onto a busy highway, putting me in a dangerous position. Luckily, after turning the ignition off and then on again, everything works fine. . . Until it doesn't again.

After a few months of having dtc come up for evap and misfire then disappear just a quick as it came up, my vehicle has recently began stalling out while driving, specifically while decelerating or idling. The battery was replaced 2 years ago and tests good every time, as does the alternator, starter, wires, connectors and sensors. Nobody can find any dtc on the obdii or anything else. It's easy to replicate but impossible to decide why. I've talked to the dealership about possible recalls from 2012 concerning the pcm as well as chatted with a few people on the Chrysler website and nobody wants to help. This is a very serious situation, as I can prove with video from my dash cam and back up cam. The people on the Chrysler website were very rude, and the dealership was not willing to stand behind the product either without charging $300 just to diagnose. Car stalling while driving called recall said that my car doesn't go but it's losted under my recall.

2013 Chrysler 200 limited stalls out while driving. Started sept. 2019, and has happen (eight times) almost monthly or every 500 miles. No warning- no power steering; no power brakes. After stalling- car cranks and can take up to 1-2 hrs before engine will turn over again. I have taken vehicle to four separate mechanics; including Chrysler dealership and not one has been able to diagnose problem. Also, car does not throw any codes. I have replaced the battery; fuel pump and had pcm update and vehicle still stalling out while driving.

The car only has 76,000 miles on it , when I put it in park it stalls and shuts off. Also my abs is on and it's caused by the electrical system.

Vehicle has stalled on multiple occasions both in motion and while parked. The stall occurs either when the a/c is activated and turned off.

My car will stall while driving. Steering wheel will lock. I have to put it to a complete stop to restart. Sometimes it starts right away. Most times I have to wait a few minutes.

The vehicle has stalled multiple times when coming to a stop, there are no codes stored and there is no check engine lamp when this occurs. It often stumbles when coming to a stop like it is going to stall but recovers. I am a career automotive technician for over 25 years, triple ase master tech I have performed a throttle body cleaning and checked all the basics, but there is no indication of any other issues with the vehicle.

My vehicle will cut off/stall while driving, losing speed control. This has happened more than I can count. On residential street, main highways, and freeways while doing speeds up to 70mph. If I am able to pull over to safety I would attempt to start the vehicle and it would crank but wouldn't turn over. After 2hrs the vehicle would start. I've taken it into several dealerships to be diagnosed and they wouldn't be able to duplicate the issue. The dealership hooked up a tracker and said it was one thing and fixed it and the problem is still happening. First incident was mothers day may 2017.

The vehicle was repaired. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken to suburban Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of troy (1790 maplelawn dr, troy, mi 48084, (248) 585-8800) where no diagnostic failure codes were found and the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to jim riehl's friendly Chrysler Jeep (32899 van dyke Ave, warren, mi 48093, (888) 834-3916) where no diagnostic failure codes were found and the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The contact was offered a fee, but declined. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

The car stalls when slowing down for a stop sign or when taking of from a stop. At one point it stall going about 20mpg. This is really unsafe, with no signs it just stalls.

It was diagnosed that a piece of paper on the dashboard was the reason for the failure and was interfering with the vehicle's many sensors. The failures still persisted. Bought my 2013 Chrysler 200 brand new from rameys auto. It had 50 miles on the odometer when we purchased it on may 27,2013,we have had issues w/ the car acting up going up hills & in level areas on the 4 lanes even sometimes when you stop at a red light it acts like it wants to stall and quit. I took it to the auto dealership after I called & complained they rode the car claimed nothing wrong w/ it, at times it would be worse than others, ended up taking this car for two appts. & a mile down the road it happened again majorly so my husband turned around went back to the dealership& ask for a mechanic to ride with us,he rode w/ my husband it acted up& the mechanic said we put it on computer,nothing showed up he said, well what happens if it quits on me& my children(ages 4 and 8 at the time)and someone hits& kills us he said leave your air condition down low its probably affecting the power on the engine& I said its the middle of summer its hot& there's no way I can ride around w/ the windows down w/ no air conditioner w/ two small children and he said there was nothing he could do because it wasn't showing up on computer, he told us that we needed to keep a notebook of everytime it acted up& have whoever was w/us to sign& date it so we have I found a recall on this car& ask the dealership about it said it had nothing to do w/ my car that my car was made after the recall came along he said the car was made in Jan. 2013 so it didn't affect it. Im still having issues w/ this as we speak,seems as if you turn the air conditioner on it gets worse,but acts up going up smalls hills on the 4 lane(jerking,and scares me its going to stall out. We have been concerned& still are concerned about this issue w/ the way the car acts. We have considered trading it in recently for something else due to the fact we cant get the problem resolved nor can anyone tell us whats going on w/ the car.
