2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 10/29/2019

Airbag light keeps coming on. Bought the car used from a dealership in June 2019. VIN # is not on a recall list for takata airbags. The car is at college, out of state, with my granddaughter. The local Chrysler dealership in her area will not fix the airbag problem for free because the VIN # is not on a recall list. I'm at a loss since the cost of repair is high. I live on social security & she is going to school on scholarships. Does she have to be involved in an accident and possibly be hurt before Chrysler will repair the airbag problem-free? the description for this problem says the airbag may not deploy if there is an accident. How do I know if the car should be on a recall list? this is not the first time the light has come on. The car has been in motion, on a city street and on the highway when the problem occurs. The latest occurrence was on or about the date listed below and the airbag light is still on.

3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 09/19/2018

For about 30k miles now my service airbag light is on. Chrysler wants to charge $100 to look at it and then charge much, much more to "fix" the airbags. Why are airbags that have never been deployed not always covered under a warranty? I have been told by a third party tech that the airbags will not deploy with this light on. This problem is widely known and Chrysler seems to think our safety is not worth covering this issue.

9 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2016

Takata recall, this new car is a 2016 200s with5000 miles. This car caused a accident on 02/09/16 when the front brakes locked up at 50 miles an hour. Sending the driver into a light pole. When the vehicle hit the pole the air bags did not deploy from the steering. The air bags over all doors did deploy and the air bags on the side of the front seat did deploy but never the steering wheel air bag. The brakes are faulty and have gone all the way to the floor when pressing on the brake. By pumping the brakes the brake would work. When the accident happened the driver pressed the brake to turn a corner but rather than the vehicle slowing down the brakes locked down in front and sent the vehicle across the road into a light pole.
