1 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2020

Tl the contact owns a 2016 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the vehicle loss motive power with the accelerator pedal depressed. The service transmission soon warning light was illuminated. The contact activated the hazard light on and coasted to the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle was turned off and restarted but failed to resume normal operation. After waiting for several hours, the vehicle was restarted and operated as designed. Additionally, the battery was replaced. The failure recurred intermittently. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000.

2 Automatic Transmission Control Module problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2017

Tl the contact owns a 2016 Chrysler 200. While driving at any speed, the transmission failed and the vehicle stalled. The failure occurred in the middle of traffic and the vehicle was almost struck by another vehicle. All the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 40,000.
