1 Automatic Transmission Torque Converter problem

Failure Date: 10/15/2010

Extreme shudder and vibration while car is in drive. When you manually go through the gears at high rpm the problem isn't as bad. But at regular driving speeds the problem is very apparent. It was diagnosed as a bad torque converter from a aamco transmission shop. I had the original torque converter replaced with a genuine daimler Chrysler mercedes part. The problem went away for 3 months and now its back. The warranty for the part was for only 90 days so I can't even get warranty work on the part. I believe that the torque converters are defective. It cost me $1600 to have it replaced originally. I don't have another $1600. 00 to have it done again.
