1 Electrical Failure problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2011

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated the instrumental panel and headlights flashed on and off at the same time. The headlights flashed while they were on or off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who examined the vehicle but was unable to locate the electrical failure. The vehicle cannot be driven at night. The manufacturer was notified and advised the contact to speak to the NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 133,000 and the current mileage was 134,500.

2 Electrical Failure problem

Failure Date: 01/03/2011

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact was driving approximately 25 mph when the instrument panel lights began to flicker intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed the failure as an electrical failure. The vehicle was repaired. After the repairs were made, the vehicle would decelerate independently and the engine would exhibit an abnormal fluctuation of rpms. The check engine light would also illuminate sporadically. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the technician advised that the steering wheel module would need to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
