Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph the driver's side front cooling fan fractured, and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Ah.

2 Cooling Fan problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2015

The engine cooling fan on my 2008 Chrysler 300 (3. 5l v6) separated/blew apart during the fan operation and caused damage to the radiator. The fan and radiator needed to be replaced. There is a recall notice on the engine cooling fans for the Chrysler 300 (2006-2008) as listed on the NHTSA website; however, Chrysler claims that my car (2008 Chrysler 300) is not eligible for the recall. This is the same issue as reported by other Chrysler 300 drivers.

3 Cooling Fan problem

Failure Date: 08/29/2011

We have 5 Chrysler 300's used for transporting our residents in and around our community 4 out of 5 of these vehicles have had the same issue. The cooling system fan blades come apart and the shrouds of the fan go through the radiator causing immediate leakage of all coolant and destroying the radiator. As of date 4/30/12 Chrysler/Dodge has yet to recall this defect and is not covered under warranty. This is obviously a problem with this year, model and needs to recalled on the 300's and the Dodge chargers.
