When taking vehicle for test drive about a month ago, the check engine light was on and after driving it, I noticed when ac was on and when off, the car loses power. When I go to pull out it has no power and I almost got hit in the side every time I would pull out from a busy highway. They had check engine light looked at and they said computer told them it was air valve leak or something like that. I had appointment for them to further assist and they said they could not find anything wrong. I can hear where the valve might be leaking at. The brakes are not good. I had to put on the brakes today fast and brake pedal acted like they were gonna skid out from under my foot. Brakes are new so why is it acting like I have no brakes and there is barley any acceleration. Something is going on and I don't want to be in a car accident just because our warnings are being over looked.
Car completely shuts down on us. No hesitation, no warning just completely shuts off while driving, park, reverse or at standstill! have taken it to mechanics and to Chrysler 3 times and the can not figure out why it's shutting down! this happens several times daily.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. While driving 40 mph, there was a noise coming from the engine that sounded like boiling water. The check engine warning indicator illuminated. In addition, the vehicle lost power when driving at various speed. The contact coasted to the side of the road and resumed driving. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v567000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 104,000.
Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact received a recall notification. However, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Ad.
My vehicle has a delayed start/crank once key is turned, takes about three seconds to start the vehicle engine. The car has 87,000 miles on it and this just started to happen within the last few months. I initially thought it was the battery so I had firestone replace the battery. But that did not cure the problem. I than brought my vehcile to the Chrysler dealership and they did an inspection and verified that the ignition switch in fact had a delay crank concern. I also recieved a notification from Chrysler p57 recall notice. I was than informed by the dealership that there is no part available from Chrysler to fix it! I will be on some waiting list---go figure! a second wave of owners will be notified June 2015. . . . I feel sorry for them, take a number and wait. Wait and wonder if maybe while on the freeway going 65 ot 70 mph your ignition may "spring back " from run to off. . . That should be interesting when your car completely stops and you have no steering on the freeway with a mac truck behind you! seriously? I smell death lawsuit. Public safety is at risk. Chrysler does not have fix for the problem either. I bought a lemon. I want Chrysler to take there car back and give me another year model, say a 2009 that does not have this problem, or pay for a rental car during the time Chrysler decides how to remedy this problem. I feel unsafe in my car. What if one day the car doesn't even start and I am stranded at night on some road? this sucks.
After exiting highway, I slowed car speed down to about 25 mph when the car suddenly experienced a loss of engine power, power steering and power brakes. Car was still in driving mode. I was able to restart car after waiting 10 to 15 minutes.
The problem started with the car shutting off while driving. Now the car won't start at all due to the faulty ignition in the 2008 Chrysler 300 which has had a recall for this problem since September of 2014. It is the p57 recall. We have not been able to drive our vehicle for 3 months. And Chrysler nor any of their affiliates/dealerships have offered us any fix be it temporary, permanent or by just loaning us a car. Which is ridiculous and really is a hardship for a mother with an infant and 5 year old who goes to school.
My Chrysler 300 oil dipstick couldn't be remove to check oil level. Dipstick is made out of plastic and by it being expose to high temp stick seize in it's holder and couldn't be remove without it breaking. Chrysler knows about this defect and still want to charge it customers 90. 00 to fix the problem, which might happen again because the new dipstick is made of plastic also.
Every time I put my car in park and turn off car key wouldn't come out had to start it back up and turn back off sometimes it did sometimes it didn't know my battery is bad I blame the ignition for that just after I started to have problems with the ignition my battery keep dying I tooked it to get charged I was told it was good by auto parts tested and everything for free put it back in the car now its died again.
Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact stated when she inserted the vehicle key into the ignition switch and turned it the vehicle would not turn on. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer nor independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received NHTSA campaign number:14v567000(electrical system) and believed the failure was related to the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000. Lb.
Made several complaints to Chrysler around November 2014 regarding my car cutting off and periodically not starting. I received a recall from the fca around that same time for "win module and frequency operated button ignition key (fobik's p57". . I have a 5 yr. Loan on my car and Chrysler assured me that this issue would be resolved. I received a letter from Chrysler manufacture customer service/field operations in August 2015 stating that both recall parts had come in and I was to contact my nearest dealer. Well, the NHTSA 14v-567 airbag had come in. It has been corrected. Thank you, but although that is also a serious issue, what is giving me a problem is the cutoff & start. My family & I feel unsafe! not to mention not being able to have a car that I can depend on. I am very disappointed that this hasn't been corrected. It appears to be getting worse. Chrysler said the part was in. . . Is it or not?!!!! I need to make sure that my family is safe and my children can get to and from school & appointments. This is ridiculous!.
Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving at 20 mph the engine cut off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed to be the ignition switch. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000. Rk.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 14v567000 (electrical system). The contact stated that her vehicle was unable to be remedied because parts were unavailable. While driving approximately 65 mph, the engine and power steering seized. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 75,000.
Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v567000 (electrical system), however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that when the key was in the ignition and after the hand was taken from the key the vehicle would restart, the start position there was no noise, no start or crank, the engine would not start, the engine did not restart right away, eventually the engine restarted. The failure recurred on multiple occasions, the vehicle was taken to a dealership, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified and the approximate failure mileage was 56,900. Rw.
The car turns off all by itself while I'm driving down the road. This has occurred four times now.
While driving down the road the engine would just lose power and shut down completely, leaving me without brakes or the ability to steer. Sometimes the ignition switch would hang and not start the engine until about the fourth or fifth try. So, I took the car in for service and repairs to fix the problem. They said the problem was in the ignition. . . Something to do with the wcm module or win module or forbik and only the dealer could repair it. On April 1, 2014, jim cogdill Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram, 8544 kinston pike knoxville, TN 37919 did the work. Then, after I had spent a total of $576. 62 for parts and labor, I get a letter from Chrysler informing me of safety recall p57 / NHTSA 14v-567. November 19, 2014, I sent in all of the requested information and forms and receipts stating that I had paid for repairs and that I wanted a refund. On December 10, 2014, I received an email from Chrysler's customer assistance center case manager stating that they "will be able to look into my reimbursement request further when the parts are available". As of today, April 21, 2015, the "parts" are still not available and neither is my refund. My reference with Chrysler cac for this claim is case #26059112.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. While driving 30 mph, the accelerator pedal seized while attempting to accelerate without warning. Once the contact depressed the brake pedal, the failure stopped. The failure occurred randomly. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle control failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 64,626.
Ignition switch issue is still not resolved. I called Chrysler and they told me that there is no eta on when they are going to receive the parts to get my vehicle fixed. I have recently had issues with my car not starting at all in addition to the ignition switch sticking. I took it to the local shop and they fixed the ignition relay. After that, I received the ignition recall from Chrysler. Chrysler is refusing to reimburse me for the ignition relay as they indicated that, at this time, they cannot confirm that it is part of the recall (relay failed due to corrosion) as the representative was not sure what would need to be fixed in the recall ?????? Chrysler has also refused to provide me anything in writing of their denial of reimbursement for the corroded ignition relay. The representative would only give me her first name, jasmine, and no other assistance. She assured me that they would notify me when the ignition switch comes in and Chrysler has a record of my call and claim. This is not very comforting knowing that I am driving with a safety recall and ongoing issues; no estimation on when the parts are going to be ready; let alone when it will be fixed. Bad part in my car and dealing with a company that will not even give the courtesy of providing some type of documentation! I am required to rely on them to have a record of my individual issue when they cannot even give me an approximate date on when the parts will even be available. Unbelievable!!!!.

The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that anti-freeze was leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that anti-freeze was leaking into the motor and as a result, the connector water outlet needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 81,000 and the current mileage was 81,119.
My 2008 Chrysler 300 has lost power in the middle of the road while driving at least 4 times. After the third incident, I took the car in, the service employees at the dealership told me there was nothing wrong. Then it happened again. In all incidents, the ignition had to be turned to off, then on again to start. In the last instance, the rpm went way up to 4000 and stayed there even though speeding was not involved. We had to pull off the freeway and turn the car off, then on again. Then it went back to normal. I took the car in again last week, and again, they said there was nothing wrong. Luckily we have not been involved in accidents due to this happening. I just hope that the next time, which I'm sure there will be a next time, I don't get into an accident, especially with my kids in car.
Transmission bangs when shifting gears while driving. When shifting gears from park to drive, sometimes it makes a big bang/knock going into gear. Also, engine has died while waiting at a stop light. Engine rpm needle fluctuates when driving.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300 hemi c. The contact stated that the vehicle had a tendency to lose power and not accelerate. The vehicle also made a ringing sound and a symbol lights up on the dashboard; however, the contact could not identify the symbol. The contact stated that the failure occurred at various speeds but tends to happen more frequently while traveling 45 to 50 mph. The dealer inspected the vehicle and stated that they could not find a problem with the vehicle. The failure mileage was 21 and the current mileage was 18500.
