Battery Dead problems of the 2014 Chrysler 300

1 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2016

The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 300. While driving 40 mph, the battery save mode warning indicator illuminated. The failure recurred four times. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.

2 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2014

The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that when the ignition was turned to the accessory position, the battery failed after two minutes. The failure recurred numerous times. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was also taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the battery failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and stated that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v634000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was 20,000.

3 Battery Dead problem

Failure Date: 07/31/2014

2014 Chrysler 300c. Vehicle would not start and check engine light came on after car was purchased two days later. The dealer performed two technical service bulletins; reprogramming the power train and transmission control modules and reset the engine light. On September 1, 2014, all of the dashboard lights illuminated while the vehicle was off, which caused the battery to die. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. They were unable to fix the vehicle. On September 23, 2014, while driving, if felt as though the engine was misfiring. The next day, the vehicle would not start. Once again, the dealer had to jump start the vehicle. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer again, where they were unable to correct the problem.
