Horn Assembly problems of the 2014 Chrysler 300

1 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/04/2016

The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 300. After exiting the vehicle, the horn would function independently and the doors unlocked independently while the key was in the contact's pocket. The contact stated that the feature on the vehicle should only activate if the key was locked inside the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure occurred three weeks after the vehicle was repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 16v240000 (power train). The failure occurred on approximately twelve occasions. The brue baker dealer informed the contact that they would have to pay a deductible in order to get the vehicle diagnosed. The contact stated that the dealer scheduled an appointment for the vehicle to be serviced per the recall the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

2 Horn Assembly problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2014

Remote start randomly fails to engage (on average of once a month) the horn beeps only once when remote system is engaged and car fails to start. Dashboard display between the driver's gauges states the remote start is disabled. The car must be manually started to reset the remote start system.
