Body Problems of Chrysler 300 - part 2

I was on the highway and I had to come to a complete stop and the wheels and the whole front end started shaking and I almost lost control of the car. I looked underneath the car and noticed on the drivers side that the whole subrame and motor cradle was completely rusted. Now my car drives at mph over 40 that the car shakes and when I need to brake suddenly that it shakes hard and is hard to control. I took it to an auto body shop and they are going to find the parts and replace them. Also the mechanic noticed that the linkage on subrame on the passenger side is broken and hanging lower.

The car lost power and stalled. Crash caused buy faulty altenator and lead positive power wire.

My 2005 Chrysler 300 limited trunk slams shut unexpectedly while sitting idle. This has happened to myself and other family members on several occasions and has caused bodily damage. The trunk hydraulics seem to fail with the slightest touch to the car, caused by either the wind or by physically touching the body of the car. The trunk closes with extreme force and could be deadly, as my mother, grandmother and myself have all been struck in the head. We have also been struck in the back as well, and just recently my mother was struck in the arm and several days later the bruise is still visible.

Takata recall I got into a car accident 9/2/16. I rear ended a car. My airbags deployed but ruptured instantly this caused me to hit my head on the steering wheel causing lots of neck and back pain and I also chipped my front tooth. My daughter was grazed by a small fragment not causing too much harm. It was horrible. We also inhaled the powder substance that was in the airbags since then I have a dry cough especially at night and a lot of heartburn.

At work went to park in the garage space drove over a piece of glass so I put my car in park it rolled out of gear and hit brick wall.

On July 17 2016 I drove in a car wash parking lot. I stopped and shifted from drive to park. I took my foot off of the brake and I was in the motion to turn off the engine. But the car was in reverse and moved several feet in reverse hitting a steel post in the ground causing damage to the rear of my car. The transmission when from drive to neutral to reverse but not into park. There were two people standing near my car when this happened. If they would have been behind my car it have been a possible serious injury . I sent a email on July 18 2016 mopar assistance center explaining the accident but I never received any response from them. The vehicle was taken to planet Dodge Chrysler Jeep ram (9975 NW 12th st, miami, FL 33172) who referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but declined to cover the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. While the vehicle was being serviced by an independent mechanic, it was observed that the subframe and engine cradle were severely corroded and the vehicle was unsafe to drive. Takata recall. I purchase a 2006 Chrysler 300 c from uxuray auto in georgia. Not knowing that there was a recall on said vehicle. On June 6th 2016 on my way to bury my mother in SC. The air bags exploded in the car as was approching a red light in barnwell SC. Blinding me, causing me to side swipe the car stop at the red light in front of me. I reported the incident to Chrysler . Chrysler after investigation agree to repair my car with a fifty dollor a day rental. I was taken to the hospital in augusta GA, by amblunace. A mr. Aubin attorny from Chrysler later states that the car would not be repair until the bodily injury claim was settled. This happen on June 7 2016, to this date Chrysler have not repair our car. In order to get my car repaired I had to sign a harmless release for Chrysler. Under duress I signed the release. One whole year Chrysler have not repaired this car . I requested that they buy the car back/ and pay me for lost of use of our vehcile,. He said in order to get the car repaired/ I must sign a release of all harms. No attorney would take this case, they say it is not worth that much for them. 1 whole year and Chrysler has our car, we were force into buying another car yet still paying for the Chrysler. Is this the law? can Chrysler get away with this? forcing us to do what we don;t want to do? Chrysler has offered me 8. 000 to sign the harmless release and then they will give me my car back after one year of suffering, is this right? help me please, we have no one else to turn to for help. No one.

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 300. While driving over uneven land close to curbs, the front suspension was extremely low and the undercarriage and front fender skirt were damaged. The manufacturer was notified, but provided no solution to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired and the issue continued. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.

The car was put into park and rolled down the driveway, across the street, into a ravine and hit a tree.

The contact owned a 2007 Chrysler 300. While driving 35 mph and making a right turn, the vehicle ran over large abnormal rocks. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

On Friday March 7, 2015 my car was parked outside of my home and the sunroof spontaneously shattered. I contacted Chrysler directly about my 300 s and was told to contact my local Chrysler dealership. Once I got in touch with the dealer they told me it's something they would have to contact Chrysler about and they are unsure if my warranty will cover it. The dealer stated they have never heard of such a thing before, however I've seen numerous reports.

The contact alan baer was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 and was struck head-on March 2, 2015, both cars were destroyed, the contact alan baer was injured in the right shoulder and left arm - the airbags did not deploy. (the airbags did deploy & protect the driver of the other car involved). Subsequently, notification was received of NHTSA airbag safety recall: 15v313000 (air bags), alan baer contacted dealer even though the accident happened prior to the recall. The dealer had no information about available recourse for injuries received or parts availability for recall repairs. The manufacturer was contacted about the accident.

Air bags came out with metal fragments shooting out and I and my significant other was injured the vehicle was in motion it was black ice and I slide those airbags could have put my eyes out.

Vehicle purchased in sept 2014, within a month and only driving it 550 miles I was parking vehicle, at the time didnt realize how it happened but vehicle went into reverse and went into a pole in parking lot. Repair to back bumper at dealer was $791. 59. I paid and just went on. Then I get a recall notice saying this could happen, driver error. Now I get a recall saying it is something they are going to repair in vehicle. I contacted fiat chysler to discuss being reimbursed for this repair and they are saying they would not cover it. I was at a dr appointment at the hospital parking lot when this occured, vehicle went into a cement pole. I do have copies of repairs, just can download them.

This morning I went to the gas station this morning after I put the gas in my car it turn off automatically can't get out of gas station with out turn it on 3 times move foward a little and then turn off completely after a couple minutes got out of the gas station and I was driving to my house afraid,scare of something may happen ,I stopped in stop sign it turn off again I turned back on and then drove again got into medium traffic street and it was no emergency it turn off bit this time I got a truck behind me so I turn my car into the walk side cause the truck was close to me and I would of hit me from behind my front lower bumper scratched, almost ripped ,I turned on again and reverse slowly back into the street the truck driver came to ask me what happen? ,if I was ok ? I explain to him what happen he told me I should not be driving the car anymore but I have to work he left and I kept driving with my emergency lines on a couple minutes after turn off again this time nobody was behind me turn it back on and drove again a block away from my house turn off again so I look for a safe place to parked and walked home,I call a friend to give me ride to work cause can't loose money or days or my job!!! it happen to me before I kept turn it on and I burn the water temperature sensor and killed the battery that in total cost me 411. 95 dollars and I cant be working to fix this car is low in miles but no safe at all . . . Reopen the investigation nhsta workers or drive my car for a day . . . Check the case on a cloverdale resident.

Door handle broke when trying to open door, driver side back door.

The plastic decals in the Chrysler sign came off as I was closing the truck I went to the front and the plastic decal over the Chrysler sign wasnt their I dont know at what time it fell off.

I was driving on keerans street on fort bragg, nc at aprox 30mph when I was hit by a 2012 chevy express 3500 due to his failure to yield at approx 25mph. None of my airbags deployed and the whiplash caused neck injury and back injury. Chrysler informed me that it requires a minimum speed of 20mph to set off the side impact airbags.

Underneath the vehicle, on the suspension parts there is tons of rust! the metal is beginning to come apart around the control arm bushings!! someone told me about this issue, and had me look, and my car is completely worse then his!!!!!! this issue needs to be resolved, a complaint has been filed, where someone hit the wall due to this issue!!!!! don't let people die!!! make Chrysler fix this mess! this isn't a car radio not working, or the interior falling apart. . . This is a life or death issue!.

The paint on the trunk and hood have started fading to the point of rusting in certain areas. I took it to Chrysler and they stated it would not be covered because it was involved in a crash, which it wasn't. I have checked on the internet and have found several complaints about the same problem.

Upon driving on the highway the legal speed limit is always 70mph. While following the flow of traffic individuals ahead of me started slowing down to a cruise speed of 40-50mph abruptly. While paying attention to the change in pace I slowed down as well to feel comfortable with the flow of traffic. When checking my rearview mirror to see if there was a opening to change lanes I noticed a Ford truck coming from behind at a excelled pace. With seconds before the contact I braced myself for the wreck. Without paying attention suddenly the driver from behind ran into my rear of my car. This impact not only shattered my entire rear window, but my truck caved in, both my tail lights were knocked out, and I was knocked into the next far right lane. During the impact I braced myself and hit the steering wheel, my driver side rear mirror was knocked down and the hazard wheel alignment lights came on. While all of this occurred I was shocked my driver side airbag didn't employ. I am a male, 5?8, 160 pounds so I am sure the electronics could tell a person was visibly in the seat. Had I not seen the truck come from behind I could've been thrown out the window. I am surprised of the malfunction and wanted to report it.

The previous owner had mentioned the bumper / skid plate problems he had before. I then was careful as to where I parked. Well, I parked the car in front of a convinient store and as I pulled back, the front bumper caught on to the cement block and cracked the bumper as well as pulling most of the skid plate from under the car. As I drove home I heard some pieces fall on to the road but could not pull aside to pick them up or I would of gotten hit by a car. I took the car to a body shop and they told me these cars have that problem all the time. I have noticed that 99% of the Chrysler 300 that I see on the street also have the same thing, hanging bumbers and skid plates. I did call to see if there were any recalls for this and I was told there was not. I don't think this is acceptable. They come from the manufactor, with what I would call a defect and they should take responsability in fixing them and correcting the problem so that any future Chryslers do not have this problem. I was stop waiting on the car in front of me to go when a lager company truck hit me in back, the truck never stop, he had to be doing 50 mile or more, but my airbag did not deployed cause head trauma and neck, back, problems, the truck smashed in the back of my car and the gas tank hang out if I would have had more gas in it, it would have blowed up. I have picture to prove this fact and was told that by the car dealer collision department.

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the hood hinge failed and caused the hood to close on the contact's head. The contact had to use a wooden stick to hold the hood upright. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer who stated that the hinges needed to be replaced but could not guarantee the hinges would remedy the failure. The contact did not have the hinges replaced. The failure mileage was 30,000.

Suspension pops and dash rattles.

2005 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated the head rests for the middle row do not stay up. This has been happening since the contact purchased the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealership, and they stated it was an engineering problem. The notches in the first and third rows are different from the second row. Nothing has been done to correct the problem.

The floors in the front are not solid underneath the carpet. There's no "bottom". There's 7" of space between the carpet and the body of the car. I took it in to the dealer and they said that's the way the car was made and they are not sure of why it was designed like that.
