Car may restart and power restored and if not must stop car if possible to restart. Happens randomly! this is a continued problem. I was driving on the highway with cruise and my car started to go limp, then started to accelerate without my foot on the gas. Then my check engine light came on and I pulled off and turned the car off and back on. It drove fine but when I went to have it checked they said it threw a code for my tcm. My coworker also drives a Chrysler 300 and had the same issue in the same week! he never got his checked out but his car stopped accelerating and then started again while on cruise. This is happening to a lot of Chryslers so I looked up recalls and it looks like the tcm was recalled in the 2016 300’s but my 2015 and his 2015 is having the same issues.

Our Chrysler 300 (2018) has the delamination issue reported numerous times on the Chrysler forum. Our car only has 35,000 miles on it. The delamination issue is definitely a safety issue. The radio station keeps rapidly changing making it useless. The safety part of the issue is that the heat/cool also stops working in the car and switches rapidly from one to the other. This car was crashed June 10 2023, owner went to hospital and car was towed and took to an auto pound . After 24 hours they told us a private company tolled it or stole it . I currently am waiting (for 3 weeks) for the part to get the screen replaced through my dealership. It is scary to drive and unsafe. It randomly calls any number 10 times in a row and I am distracted trying to stop the call multiple times. I live in phoenix az and when the a/c switches from cold to heater and turns on the seat heater I about pass out driving. It is too hot here to drive with no a/c and when the heater comes on I am trying frantically to turn off while driving. It is like the car has become possessed!!!.

The radio control screen that has all controls on it is failing it turns things like heat/ air off and on at random cannot bring up the vehicle info and setup turning the system off doesn’t help it. The front passenger door panel has separated at the top leaving an open gap between the window and the door. It appears that the rubber molding was not manufactured properly and as heat from the sun warms up the molding, it deforms, pulls up and separates. The problem has continued to worsen over time and is approaching the door locking mechanism. It is also now possible for water to get to the inside of the door. This is a non-moving part that was defective at the time of manufacture, but took time to malfunction.

I have a 2021 Chrysler 300 s and before I had purchased this vehicle, there was a safety recall "fixed" for the front windshield adhesive. Whom ever completed the recall issue, did not do it correctly. The whole top on the windshield is really wavy. I'm very concerned about this because this is my daily driver and I have 3 kids. The battery is in the trunk. If it is dead, the trunk open button in the car won't work and there is no place to use a key in the trunk to open it. You have to go into the front door, crawl through the inside of the car, open the back seat, crawl through the opening and pull the trunk release handle inside the trunk. Then you can either charge or replace the battery. I am 78 and can not physically do this. It is a real safety issue if I am stranded away from a garage or in a bad area and I am not able to get the car started with a dead battery. My 2017 Chrysler 300s has a screen that is delaminating which started about a year ago and now it's causing horrible issues. Just the other day on a trip home, I had my car play going and all of a sudden the screen was just clicking on icons randomly everywhere. And then it started making calls to both my son and daughter. There was nothing I could do as I was driving home on the freeway. When I got to my garage it took sometime for me to get it to stop. Even after I turned off the car and turned it back on it kept clicking on the icons. And then today it kept switching the radio stations as well as switching from fm to sirrus radio. This is a safety hazard as you become distracted by what is happening. I have not taken it in to a dealer and there is no warning when the screen will start doing whatever it wants. This is not a new problem for this model and beyond.

Front driver has lifted. Took the car in to have it repaired and they have no resolution. On 9/12/2022 I attempted to exit my vehicle and the panel had lifted such that the door would not open. The only way to exit my car was to climb over the center console to exit the vehicle. Only way to get door open after was to continue to pull up on the panel so I could place the locking mechanism in it's proper place. This could have been a severe safety hazard.
