3 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2014 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 01/17/2014

On 01-17-2015 less than a month ago. While driving home, the car surged/hesitated and seemed to lose power. I also noticed the check engine icon illuminated. I was able to move to the expressway shoulder and shut the engine then restarted it, but the check engine icon still was illuminated, and the shifter would not shift. It was locked. No p, r, n, d, or s. I tried to make a telephone call via the vehicle's bluetooth but all my data base was gone. It was working earlier in the day. I shut the engine and exited the car to make a cell phone call. When I re-entered the car I was able to engage the shifter to the drive position, but the check engine icon was still illuminated, as well as other instrument cluster icons were missing and some were present that should not have been. However the car would not move until about 3000 rpm. When it finally did move, it moved very slowly, relative to the engine speed. Finally it shifted to a higher gear and seemed to drive normally. I exited the expressway and drove around the residential area to re-assure myself that the car would get me home safely. It was late Saturday night and the dealer was closed. I re-entered the expressway to rerun to my home. I never knew what gear the transmission was in. Paddle shifters were inoperative. While driving home I the navigation map was intermittently glitching, instrument cluster icons some missing many flashing. Also no cell phone. The dealer claimed the problem was corrected, but the work order stated 181905a1 transmission control module, software flashed. I assumed the problem was corrected but because it took place only one month old car, I became apprehensive. They never mentioned anything about the electronic/tipm failures that occurred with the instrument cluster. At this time I had no idea what a tipm was ! slightly more than one month later my vehicle failed again that was a tipm failure.

4 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 11/20/2013

My car (300c awd) stalls after fill up. This has happened several times on a trip from California to georgia. I was filling the car three times a day. Moving from the fuel island to the interstate on-ramp the car will die making brakes and steering lose power as well. The car will restart and function correctly until the next fill up or it may stall once or twice again. The condition does not happen when stopping with out filling. I was able to shift into neutral and restart while rolling but this could be difficult in white knuckle situations. There is another condition that may or may not be related: some times when starting to fill up, the gas pump nozzle shuts off due to "splash back" in the car's filler tube. I can remedy this by repositioning the pump nozzle to one side or the other. Once started, I can complete filling the car. My mechanic was at a loss with solving this problem.

5 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 10/10/2013

After filling up with gas at the same place I always do I began to drive home at the first light I was fine at the 2nd light the car stalled I put it n and started the car up and drove home about 1 block. In the morning I started the car up to go to work it ran fine for the first 2 blocks the stalled again. I started it up again and drove to work. I was terrified. After getting it home I thought I would drive it around the neighborhood for a few days to be safe and not go on the freeway. It still hesitated and felt like it wasn't running right. Still wanting to stall. I then parked it for fear of being on the road and it stalling and someone running into me and killing me. With this many complaints about the same thing why is there not a recall on this problem. Are they waiting for someone to be killed first. I did love this car but cant drive something this unsafe. . . . Help.

6 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 10/01/2013

Chrysler 300c srt8 2006 stalls after refueling. This has been dangerous for me since I'm just making the connection between the unexpected stalling in intersections and refueling. The car will 'buck' unexpectedly and the stall. I was able to restart but it continues stall for some time after the refueling. I understand an investigation is underway for this issue. Please add my complaint to the pile.

7 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 09/24/2013

Filled up and let gas nozzle stop automatically. Does not happen right away. But upon slowing down to stop, car will jerk forward. And after making a complete stop, usually at a stop light or middle of intersection, car will die. Causing me to have to put car in park and restart. This will happen a few times until some fuel is burnt. This can be dangerous if car jerks forward into another car. I got this link after researching this problem on the 300cforums. Com originally thought this was a bad gas issue. But found it to happen anywhere I fill up.

16 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2007 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 05/28/2010

2007 Chrysler 300 with 43,684. Problem fuel cap leaking. Not covered under warranty. The dealership galena Chrysler would not pay for repair. Call Chrysler headquarters(ref# 19582516) said not a safety issue and I had to pay for the repair. The check engine light came on I took it to galena Chrysler in fort myers FL. I had the same problem one year ago to the day, same dealership, said nothing wrong. I think fuel and vapors have been leaking for over a year with this car. I feel this is a major safety issue and should be looked into. I know it must be a problem, because no one from Chrysler headquarters called me back or email. After 4 days in the shop I just had to pay for it. No matter how old the car safety problems must be covered by the manufacturer. How me people have to die until we address the problem?.

17 Gasoline Fuel System problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 01/10/2008

It the problem begin when I noticed my engine light indicator going on and off. When I took it to the Chrysler dealership, they told me that it was nothing wrong with it. They only said that because they noticed that the engine light indicator was no longer on. But when I left the dealership, the light came back on so I turned around and when back. They did a diagnostic test and realized that it was the esv valve. The esv valve tells the gasoline where to go in the motor. So now my vehicle is consuming more gas than before. Nothing was done to correct the problem because I was told that the mechanical problem wasn't covered under my warranty.
