Wiper Problems of Chrysler 300 - part 2

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that when the windshield wipers were activated, the instrument panel became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer but the cause of the failure was unable to be determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

On 2/27/2014 I was driving on the free way and my winshield wipers stopped working. It was very dangerous due to tha fact that it was pouring rain out, and I had zero visibility on the highway. I had to pull over on to the shoulder, where I waited approximately 30 minutes before I was able to get my wipers to work again. On my way home from work later that day, as I was driving on the freeway once again, my car completely turned off leaving me stranded in the middle of the free way. I was able to get my car started and get home safely , although I was terrified. Took my car to the dealer on 3/1/2014. Tech stated it was a bad wiper motor, part replaced and still wipers will not work. Replaced fuses andf relays as recommended per dealer tech, still wipers will not work I have spent over 500$ in these reapirs and still my wipers are not working. Now the dealer is saying that I have a bad tipm (totally integrated power module). However, I am unable to get my car fixed since the part is on back order. Apparently chrsyler has known about this problem for a while now since the part is on a national back order. I believe Chrysler should recall all vehicles with a defective tipm. The dealer has given me an estimate of 1200$ for relacing the tipm. It's very aggravating since now I must pay for a rental car for for who knows how long since not even dealers know when the part wil lbe available. I will never buy another Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep product again. After doing some extensive research, I have found that several models have this same issue.

I was going down a side street by my house and I went over a little bump in the road and surprisingly my windshields went on! I pulled over with my husband and we couldn't shut them off! he looked it up in the drivers manual to no avail so we drove it over to our local garage on a beautiful day with the wipers going. The guys said the only thing they could do is go on the top on the battery and pull the fuse. . So that's what I had to do to use them. Once you put the fuse in, they do not stop. I got a diagnostic, rip off there, charged way to much,, they said the wiper motor had to be replaced. . It was and nothing got fixed. . So I went to a Chrysler dealership where I knew I'd be paying $$$ but it had to be done. . . Paid for another diagnostic, they said it was something that started with a ti? wish I had the paper with me. . . So they charged $547 to do 3 hours or work and only half fixed it. . Believe it or not it is now 10/2013! still not fixed. . . Chrysler now said they'd have to pull out the dashboard and it may cost another $400 and you know what it will be?! a $20 relay switch I bet! boy I got burned on this lemon. . Oh there's more let me make another complaint!.

I was heading to visit my brothers and my father in eagle lake texas coming out of richmond TX when all of a sudden I heard this clacking sound in my engine I purchase this 2006 Chrysler brand new from the car dealership r&m out of houston texas off of highway 59. I bought my car in 2006 April 2010 my car was in defect there is a recall on the Chrysler 300 but noone has notified me. Thank you [xxx] can you please notify me by mail please.
