37 Electrical System problem of the 2014 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 09/30/2017

When adjusting the pedals while driving on the road, using the switch mounted on the drivers seat, the pedals went down toward the floor and the engine's rpm increased. I didn't notice what was happening at first and then the engines rpm increased and the vehicle speed jumped to 75 mph. I tried baking and the car slowed down to 45 mph. Since I was in a 35 mph zone and was approaching a car ahead of me I put the car in neutral and the engine rpm increased very high. I can't say how high it went as I was busy trying to figure out what went wrong and what to do about it. I turned into a parking lot and shut the engine off. I started the car again and the engine rpm shot up over 6000. Knowing that the only thing I did was adjust the pedals I pushed the switch in the other direction and raised the pedals. The rpm went back to normal idle speed. I pushed the switch to lower the pedals and the engine rpm picked up again as the pedals went down so I raised the pedals up again until the rpm returned to idle speed. The car continues to do this. I believe this is a very dangerous situation as since there was no warning this could happen when adjusting the pedals and it could under rare circumstances be triggered if some object was in between the switch and the floor when the seat is moved rearward. There was no accident and no one was injured.

43 Electrical System problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 07/05/2017

2006 Chrysler 300c | engine stall while driving | possibly tipm-related I purchased my 2006 Chrysler 300c just short of 6 months ago. Within the first week, as I was taking a left hand turn the ignition completely shut off. While the power was still active, I could not drive the car until I turned over the vehicle to restart the car. Thinking it was possibly a fringe issue I ignored to issue. Fast forwarding to today, my wife and I have experienced roughly 25-50 occurrences of the vehicle shutting off while the vehicle was in motion. I have been paying for a vehicle that only seems to work when it feels like it and what concerns me most is that every day I drive this vehicle I am endangering the lives of my wife and five children.

54 Electrical System problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 12/08/2015

While on a curvy road after dark, at 45 mph, the electrical system shut down, dash lights flashed and went off, engine died. 40 mph on a curvy road with no lights. After 20 seconds it all came back on. Had no problems for 3 months. Electrical system has momentarily shut down on 4 other occasions since then. On 12/08/15 my wife was in line at the dandridge elementary school picking up my grandson. While in car pickup line with the transmission in drive, the dash lights came on, the vehicle accelerated (surged forward) then died. Engine died 5 times before she could get it home. This would be called a near miss accident in a workplace setting. Car is operating normally at this time. I held an ase master technician certification and in my opinion it is a dangerous electrical condition. I realize that someone must die in order to get this problem fixed and that is a shame.

57 Electrical System problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 10/01/2015

My turn signals at first were not canceling, and then stopped working completely. However, the right turn signal is stuck in the on position and flashes continuously. Also, after driving for one mile an alert signal starts dinging continuously to let you know that your signal is still on and it never goes off. I have had to remove my turn signal bulbs completely so they would not continuously flash on the outside. This whole situation is unsafe because I do not have any use of my turn signals, and even though I use hand signals people just aren't looking for that . I have even been pulled over by the police for failing to use my turn signal even though I was using my hand signal. Also, in an emergency situation I have no use of my hazard lights(flashers). I have looked online to see if there are any similar complaints concerning Chrysler 300's and I found thousands people with the same issue or in the beginning stages of the the signals failing to cancel.

58 Electrical System problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300C

Failure Date: 09/04/2015

My car has been displaying erratic behavior for about the last seven months. The more recent problem I've experienced is that my car shuts off at a complete stop and sometimes as I'm braking to come to a stop at a light and power steering locks up as it shuts off. I feel this is extremely unsafe being I've dodged a few accidents already because of this issue. What if I'm at a light and getting ready to turn or make a u turn and it shuts off in on coming traffic, or if I'm on the highway and I have to suddenly brake and it shuts off at high speeds. I'm not sure what can be done but I hope I can get help some way, some how. I feel my life depends on it.

Every month when I call dealership, atlantic Chrysler-Jeep, 6820 tilton rd, pleasantville, NJ 08232 phone:(609) 646-8600, they tell me they do not have the part and do not know when the part will be available. There are 200 cars on recall before my turn. I am worried about the safety of the airbag and ignition sticking between start and run positions.
