Engine failure, regular oil changes well maintained. Car was running fine driving on way home from work in heavy traffic, then oil light came on car shut off would not start back up. Had to have police come help with traffic and have help getting it off road . Towed home got it started back up sounded like a bunch of metal in a blender. Drained oil out of car was pureed metal. Total engine lose, no shop would repair, said the engine was not worth fixing, not even worth putting new engine in the car. Every place I talked to said same thing that the 2. 7 engine in the 98 concord was faulty and junk.
I was driving my 1998 Chrysler concord to the hospital on a highway with my wife and my 5 month old baby, then all the sudden, and with no warning the car just stopped . I got a towtruck and I spent 2,000 to rebuilt the engine but still the car is not working properly. I have no idea what triged the engine failue especially that I keep changing oil and tune up every 3 months.
