Seven problems related to engine have been reported for the 1998 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Knocking in engine.
My 1998 Chrysler Concorde's engine seized while driving on the highway. The engine had been ticking and knocking for about a hundred miles before it seized. It then made a klunking sound, and simply quit. The mechanic I took it to could give no reason for it to have seized up.
Chrysler/Dodge 2. 7 liter dohc engine has oil engine sludge.
While driving 70-75 mph engine seized. Vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the consumer that the engine needed to be replaced.
Car engine slug barings while driving shut down and slid off the road hitting a tree with right driver's side tail end.
Consumer states that while driving at any speed and with no warning vehicle will shut off, causing consumer to pull over. It will be hard to get the vehicle back started. Dealer notified.
Consumer states that while driving at any speed and no warning the motor will seize and it will be hard for the consumer to control the vehicle causing the consumer to pull over. Dealer notified. Mr.
