I have a 2000 Chrysler Concorde with a 2. 7 engine, the vehicle is in perfect condion and the motor just started knocking, this is a common problem I'm told, I have a 114000 miles but it looks like 30000 miles. . Now I can't find a 2. 7 dohc motor for it because of all the problems with this engine, the prices are $3500. 00 for a new block installed. . . . Dodge and Chrysler know they have a problem with it why isn't something being done? I need help.

2 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 06/27/2007

First ,heard noise coming form engine(rattling noise). Took to dealer to have them look at it. Was told by mechanic, that the engine would probably be gone in six months. That's all I was told. No reasons why. If the problem was fixable or anything. A week later the car cut-off on me right after I had exited the highway. If I would've still been on the highway, it would've definitely caused a terrible accident. Took car to my mechanic. He had to take the engine completely apart to find out what the problem was. Come to find out , it was the water pump that caused the timing chain to break in two places, causing the whole engine to lock-up! so I paid my mechanic $1,615. 20 to replace timing chain, gaskets, and numerous other things to try to get the car started just to see if the engine was gone. Guess what I found out? it was gone -dead). Now I'm stuck with a beautiful car , that's no good to me. And I'm still paying on it! this stinks.

3 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 04/25/2005

Evaporator core is leaking. Car is a 2000 model Concorde lxi. Chrysler admitted that they know of this problem on these cars but refuses to do anything about it.

4 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 03/06/2004

Chassis integrity. The chassis mounts deteriotion in less than four years resulted in the struts malfunctioning, the transmission coolant lines leaking to the extent that the transmission could not be powered while driving on an interstate highway.

5 Engine Cooling System problem

Failure Date: 08/07/2003

I have a 2000 Chrysler concord that has needed repeated work. Some has been fixed and others not. My first complaint to them was the heater not cooling. Of course it always worked when the dealership looked at it. I have had the paint touched two times over the driver's door on the roof, the seal will stay around the head lights. The trunk leaked and had to be repaired. The oil light came on at random times and the car overheated on the 4th of July and again three weeks later. The dealership replaced an oil send receive sensor on the car but could not get it to overheat and told me to bring it back on a hot day. On August 8, 2003 I brought it back to the dealership hot and they have had it every since then. The car continues to overheat, yet they will not call it a lemon. I need a car to drive and I am making payments on something that I do not even have.
