Steering Rack And Pinion problem #1

The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler Concorde. While driving approximately 40 mph, the steering wheel became extremely loose. The contact stated that the failure was contributed to a defective rack and pinion. The vehicle was in the process of being diagnosed and repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.

2001 concord steering went out for the second time. Car has only 42000 miles. While backing out of the drive way one wheel went left the other stayed straight. My wife had just came home from work.

Pulled out of parking spot when right front wheel would not turn with the steering wheel tried to get off the street and the left front wheel wouldn't turn with the steering wheel had a mechanic look at it and discovered that both the tie rod ends on the rack and pinion had fallen off, bolts had backed out. Also, discovered that the rack and pinion wouldn't move anymore while rotating the steering wheel.
