Chrysler Concorde owners have reported 2 problems related to manual transmission floor shifter (under the power train category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The shifter would appear to be in park and you could take keys out of car. The next morning I went to start my car it would not start, I checked all the usual stuff , gas level ,battery then it dawned on me to check the shifter since I was unable in the past to start other cars it must be in a park position (was married to an ase certified mechanic who did loss of restorations) I pulled the level forward and the car started immediately. Over time the shifting from p,r,n,d became more and more difficult to where it stuck in 3rd gear (which I never use)
when I had the car towed the floor shifter remained stuck . Yet we were able to push the car out of the driveway as easy as pie. 383. 44 later it was the floor shifter and cable.
