Chrysler Concorde owners have reported 12 problems related to structure (under the structure category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When I would place the automatic transmission in reverse on my 1997 Chrysler Concorde the gas pedal would stick and accelerate at a rapid rate. The only way that I could stop the acceleration was by placing both on the brake and turning the key off. Dave dennis Chrysler dealer in dayton, OH. , verified this. They found that the cradle bushings were bad which caused the motor to move and hit the throttle which caused the motor to rev. Up in gear. They replaced the cradle bushings and I have had no trouble since. I consider this to be a safety issue. The mechanic at the Chrysler dealer stated that worn cradle bushings were a common problem with k frames used on Chryslers. I can't be the only person who has experienced this problem due to cradle bushings wear.

On July 3,2003 I took my car in for service and told them it was leaking. The car leaks at all doors and in the trunk. Also the trim around the headlights is coming out. I was told that there would be a charge of $134. 49 for the headlight trim repair and $201. 17 for the new door gaskets. The trunk I was not given an estimate on because they said the water doctor would need to repair that. I told them that I felt that the car was defective and I should not have to pay for any repairs. I was called back a week later and was told that the manufacturer would pay 1/3 of the cost of the repair, the service dept. Would pay 1/3 of the cost and I would be required to pay the remaining 1/3. I am not happy with this arrangment as I know this a defect in the car.
Water leaks under air vents under window wipers ,body seams let water in car as fast as it will run. Have sealed 1 leak with silicone on seam on passenger side. Carpet and mat on driver side now getting wet and stinks. Replaced windshield 6-27-03,so I know that was not the problem. Car bought new and has never been in accident. Dealers service mgr. Claims there has not been any problems, but my mechanic, knows a Chrysler mechanic there, and he says there are plenty of complaints. They have even sprayed rubberized undercoating on seams and surrounding areas to seal water leaks.
Both front door seals have shrunk leaving a 1" gap. Water enters around top of door. Also, the dust seals around both headlamps have shrunk, cannot get them back on.
This car has multiple problems. I find that the complaints with the windows are consistent e. G. Won't roll down on passenger side front and "off track" driver's side front. I have water collecting on the driver's side front after lots of rain. The molding on the car whether it be the headlights or around the doors does not stay in place. The trunk vent has been replaced and the struts and sway bar had to be replace shortly after the purchase.

A molding piece located on the hood by the windshield flew off in traffic. This occurred while driving at 55 mph. The molding was 5 feet long and 4 1/2 feet wide. The reason for the part coming unattached was undetermined.
A long piece of plastic is located between the windshield and the hood. When wind gets under the plastic at high speeds it can fly off and cause an accident. Consumer feels this piece of plastic should be mounted tighter.
