I own a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire ltd. Roadster that has just reached 50k miles. The rear windshield has fallen out of the soft top and is merely holding on by the wires for the defroster. I have been told that this is a manufacturers defect but Chrysler declines replacing it as a defect. I have contacted auto upholstery businesses to repair the window and was told that there is no way to repair this problem and that a new top has to be purchased which will cost me $2000 for the top and they must have the car for 10 days (include another $400 for rental car fees). Fortunately this incident occurred when the car was parked and not while I was driving for it could have ended up in worse property damage or a car crash.
