My engine in my car just shut down in the middle of driving. I was told it was a recall and was fixed yrs ago but it has happened 3 times since. Twice after getting gas and one time driving in the school parking lot. Lost all control of power steering and time of engine trouble. Car started back up and engine light came on and went back of and back on. Also smelt burning wires but couldn’t find anything.
Car loses power and cuts off due to pcm and fuel system.
Took to get a wheel alignment and they said it was a cracked framed and check engine light always on saying a fuse.
Takata recall the car lurches forward and bangs when stopped, also while stopped the car registers 20mph. When driving speed reaches 60mph the car has power surges and shutters, the car makes a loud whining noise while driving like it is stuck in high gear. The car has a high rpm speed of 4-6rpms while driving. The service engine light is on at all times.
I just came out from car wash I turned right on to the freeway soon as I reached 50mph my vehicle made a weird noise and shut off. The steering wheel locked I had to pull off free way(no accident, thankfully) go to a safe place put it in park try starting it it wouldn't start. Smoke came out from back passenger rear tire. Let my car sit over night tried to start it next morning, wouldn't start. Towed it into shop they couldn't find the problem but later they told me I need a whole new engine. I only got to drive it 2x before it stalled. I really like it and wish I can get it fixed.
I drove out from car wash I was going about 35mph then I turned right on to the freeway soon as I reached 50mph my vehicle made a weird noise and shut off as im on the freeway. There were no warning lights on whatsoever although I got a "gas cap" message. The steering wheel locked I had to pull off the free way(no accident, thankfully) the breaks were hard to push down I had no choice but to let it roll through traffic I got to a safe place I put it in park waited about 30 minutes to try starting it, it would not start. Smoke came out from back passenger rear tire. Let my car sit over night tried to start it the next morning, again it would not start. I had it towed it into shop they could not find the problem I had left my vehicle in the shop for a week other mechanics discovered the problem. Later they told me I need a whole new engine. I only got to drive it 2x before it stalled. I really like it and wish I can get it fixed I do believe it has to do with the power train, fuel propulsion, and engine.
Car stall when making sharp left hands turns. It has done this two consecutive days in a row. I searched the VIN on Chrysler and there are no open recalls. The found that there was a recall for this on 2005 Pacifica's but I am unable to find out if mine was ever corrected.
As I sat at a stop light waiting for it to turn green, the speedometer jumped up to 20 mph and the vehicle lunged forward. I almost rear ended the vehicle in front of me. The vehicles check engine light came on and had stated on since than. I had the code scanned and it came back as codes p0700 and p0740. I searched for the meaning of those codes and they pretty much said it was the tcm (transmission control module) which had been recalled on several Chrysler Pacifica's. I called the local dealer and they said that was not a recall on my VIN specific vehicle. I of course asked how it was not recalled on my vehicle when everything I have read says it was for all 2005-2006 Pacifica's. There have been other reports of this same incident happening with other Pacifica owners as well. I would like to have the tcm on my vehicle recalled and replaced just as thousands of others were. If I had been and closer to any of the vehicles in front of me the several times this has happened then I would have rear ended several people by now and none of the accidents would have been my fault. These incidents happen every time I am driving in town. It never lunes forward as far as I am aware, on the freeway. Please help me fix this problem before it does cause an accident.
The vehicle has stalled multiple times during a left turn. Apparently many of the 05 Pacificas were recalled for this issue, but the Chrysler service said my vehicle was not under the recall even though it has the same issue uder the recall. 06v432000. Since my VIN does not pull up the recall they will not cover fixing the vehicle, even though so many other cars were recalled in the same year for this dangerous issue.

Tl-the contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to stop as the contact felt a vibration coming from the brake pedal. The contact had to shift the gear lever into neutral in order to stop the vehicle. The abs and engine warning lights illuminated. In addition, new fuel cap was displayed across the message board. The vehicle was taken to the dealer multiple times who replaced the fuel cap. In addition, the dealer was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the rotors and the back rotors needed to be resurfaced. The vehicle was repaired. However the failure recurred. I have a 2005 chyrsler Pacifica. The gas pedal is sticking. It sticks hard enough that you have to forcefully push the accelerator peddle down. This causes unwanted rapid acceleration! the problem is getting worse in the past three weeks. The pedal has gotten stuck four times. I was backing out of a parking space and the car accelerated in reverse. Unsure, if my family car is safe, for my family.
I just took my 2005 Chrysler pacific in due to the gas pedal sticking. The gas pedal would stick and I would have to press on it hard in order for it to work. This would happen almost everytime I started up my car. The service person stated that there was some type build up due to wear and tear on the vehicle. I only have 42,000 miles on my car. I paid for the repair (approx $190) because my warranty didn't cover the problem. I can't believe that at 42,000 this would happen.
Periodic(very often) gas pedal gets very hard and does not push down. Have to apply lots of force ,for it to work properly. This happens very often.
Sticky accelerator pedal 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. No easy way to accelerate out of full stop.
Accelerator sticks badly requiring very heavy foot pressure to break loose, causing vehicle to jump forward.
