The 2005 chrystler Pacifica was traveling 35 mph in the winter on a paved road when it just died no warning. I had it towed to my house for further testing. The car tries starting but never turns over act like no fuel. I then hooked it up to my foxwell nt630 elite obd2 scanner it detected codes p0340, p2066, p0700, & p0461 code p0340 cam shaft position sensor a circuit bank 1 or single sensor (part replaced). Code p2066 fuel level sensor b (performance). Code p0700 transmission control system. Code p0461 fuel level sensor a (range/performance) NHTSA campaign number: 06v432000 manufacturer daimlerchrysler corporation components power train potential number of units affected 127,928 summary: on certain passenger vehicles, the fuel pump module and the power train control module (pcm) software may allow the engine to stall under certain operating conditions. Remedy dealers will reprogram the power train control module. The fuel pump module will also be replaced on vehicles built from August 1, 2004 through September 30, 2004. The recall began on November 21, 2006. Owners may contact daimlerchrysler at 1-800-853-1403. Two separate defect conditions that could result in engine stall while driving in model year (my) 2005-2006 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles (NHTSA recall no. 06v-432). My 2005 vehicles built in August and September of 2004 are being recalled to correct a defect in the secondary fuel pump modules, which may have an improper press fitting on the inlet that can become dislodged and shut-off fuel flow. All my 2005-2006 vehicles built between July 8, 2004 and November 11, 2005 are being recalled to correct a powertrain control module (pcm) software issue with the evaporative emissions system which can also cause stalling. For both conditions, engine stall incidents tend to occur during left turns. Nhtsa action number: rq06002.
When I was driving on the freeway (driving 45 mi/hr), it stopped moving accelerating (seems like the car is actually slowing down) even when I was stepping on the gas pedal. And then the car stalled. . . . . . . It was a good thing I was on the very right side of the lane. The fuel pump module and/or the powertrain control module (pcm) software may allow the engine to stall under certain operating conditions, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will need to reprogram/replace the pcm/tcm and/or replace the fuel pump module to correct this concern. In most cases, aside from stalling and engine revving up and down on its own, there's a lot of hard jerking when driving the vehicle. It seems like the engine has a mind of its own since when I accelerate, the car will not move or delay in moving forward and if I let go of the gas, the car moves forward. It's a safety concern.
My fuel gauge is not reading anything when it's on full I looked other recalls back in those times and that the fuel pump which is the primary wasn't reading the secondary fuel pump.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. While attempting to refuel the vehicle, the fuel pump would shut off each time after dispensing 2/10 of a gallon of fuel. In addition, while operating the vehicle, the fuel gauge displayed false readings that indicated the fuel tank was half full before the vehicle stalled due to no fuel. Also, the fuel mileage range displayed false information, indicating that the fuel mileage range was 120 miles before the vehicle stalled due to a lack of fuel. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who replaced filters and valves, but the failure continued. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 120,000.
Since I purchased this in 2008, I have replaced the axle, 2 wheel bearings a few months ago, a few years ago 1 abs sensor was replaced via warranty but they wouldn't replace the other - which went out 2 months later. They knew it was going to. I replaced the transmission 2 years, the fuel pump & catalytic converter last year, just replaced the oil pan gasket 2 months ago, the radiator 2 weeks ago due to coolant lead, and now the water pump is leaking coolant. This is just what I can think of off the top of my head. It has been one problem after the other with this vehicle and I have spent a fortune on it. I can't afford to replace it & my VIN doesn't show up on the recalls.

The car will just go from half of a tank to e. My husband and son were stranded, because when they left the house it was at a half and then dropped all the way down to e, car stopped. This is very dangerous and I am very upset. We have taken the car back to the car lot at least 5 times, the fuel pump was replaced x 2, then they changed the fuel sensor. The car has never stopped dropping down to e. This is very frustrating, Chrysler should recall these cars. Plz help me and thousand more thnx and god bless.

My vehicle all of a sudden started to reflect an empty tank after a few minutes of driving after putting about a half a tank or more of fuel in the tank. I had one of the fuel pumps replaced and it seemed to have fixed the problem for a week or so and then it was doing the same thing again.

Since I purchased my vehicle the front low beam lights have went out numerous times while driving at night. I have had them replaced on several occasions and the problem persists. Recently I have had problems with my battery and was told by pepboys auto shop that something is draining the battery and its possibility is the exterior lighting/headlamps. Even though I continue to replace the headlamps they keep going out and my battery is being drained. After 2 batteries in 3 years I had the alternator checked and it was in good condition. I was told to look up a recall list where I found exterior lighting 05v066000 and I called. I also have had a fuel pump problem that seems to exist and no one can figure out way. After getting it fixed by the Chrysler dealership twice my vehicle will not pass smog because of another leak. I also found out that there are complaints of some similar issues fuel pump/powertrain control module software 06v432000 and I called. Please put these to issues on the recall list so that auto owners will be safe on the road and California's air will not be polluted by the fumes.
I own a 2005 Pacifica touring edition. A couple months ago it stalled out and said I was out of gas. I figured someone might have suffered the gas from my tank so I went and filled up and it only took 7 dollars of gas. Tank read half tank. Within 50 miles, car stalled and said it was empty again. Went to gas station again and it only took 12 dollars of gas. The last straw was I was on the interstate and it stalled in the fast lane going up hill. We almost got hit by a tractor trailer. We drifted back into median and had car towed to the shop. They said nothing is wrong except for the fact I was out of gas but they could not find any leaks. I left there went to gas station, only a mile away, and it took 3 dollars to fill it up! this happens on a frequent basis and every shop says there is nothing wrong. Obviously there is something wrong! I read other reports with the same problem! so what can be done to fix problem? why hasn't Chrysler recalled the fuel pump or whatever is causing the problem??? if this doesn't get fixed soon, someone is going to be seriously injured or killed by their car stalling! please fix this problem Chrysler!.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. While refueling the fuel tank, the fuel pump nozzle stopped indicating that the fuel tank was full. After a few days of being driven, the vehicle stalled due to lack of fuel; however, the fuel level indicator displayed that there was fuel in the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the john offer dealer (located on 3220 sw topeka, topeka, KS 66611) where the vehicle was once repaired (diagnostic unknown); however, the failure recurred. The contact called the dealer and was informed that there would be diagnostic and repair fees. The vehicle was not repaired due to the diagnostic and repair fees. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that they would not repair the vehicle a second time. No further assistance was offered. The approximate failure mileage was 193,000.
- the contact called received recall notice 06v432000 . She stated that repair was done on 12/18/06 for the fuel pump. The contact states that on 12/19/06 the vehicle wouldn't start. The vehicle was towed by aaa to dealership, the dealership told her that the replacement fuel pump was defective, and they replaced it again. The contact stated that on 12/22/06 after 2nd replacement she was driving at a speed of 80 mph when the vehicle lost power, there was no indication or warning lights. The contact was able to pull the vehicle off to the side of the road, she turned off the ignition switch and turned it back on, and the vehicle started up.
Rick hendrick Jeep/Chrysler, north charleston, SC did not perform the necessary job duties to remedy the safety recall of the fuel pump on my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. The dealer had my vehicle for 4 days, but the recall was not properly corrected which caused major danger to myself and my family! I first began to smell gas on Tuesday evening after I filled my gas tank and continued to smell excessive gas on Wednesday so I called the service department. I was told to bring my vehicle back to be checked out, but they claimed nothing was found! so I returned home on their word. The very next day, Thursday, I proceeded to fill my gas tank again to take a road trip out of state that evening, but as my tank was filling so was the ground of the gas station. . . I was very upset at this point!!!! I called rick hendrick's service manager who didn't exhibit any remorse for my endangerment! I was quite irate at this point because I felt endangered and was suppose to be on my way out of town, but could not leave due to rick hendrick's service department lack of responsibility to take care of me as a customer satifactorily! I told the s. M. That I wanted to be compensated for the two gas fill-ups that I had lost due to their problem, but he did not compensate me! my vehicle and myself was towed to the dealer, and finally they found that they were at fault. . . Not myself! they did not put the correct seal on my vehicle, therefore, the gas was leaking out! I was not treated satisfactorily once I arrived at the dealer. This was a total inconvenience traveling 50 miles each time for their problem! I want compensation, and a formal apology from rick hendrick! I also contacted the general manager who has never called me back regarding this matter, therefore, I will seek other recourses. I will definitely not recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from there, and I have decided not to give them my business any longer!.
Purchased the car six weeks ago and it has 2,500 miles on it. I was making a left turn onto a busy exit entering a major highway (route 1n) and the car stalled and steering wheel locked. I have a four year old and a two year old. Thank god they were not in the car with me. No accident occurred. The dealer appointment is in five days at which they will test drive the vehicle with me to try to recreate the situation.
