1 Starter problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2005

I bought a 2005 Chrysler pacific on July 18, and drove it home from the dealer. The next day, with 17 miles on it I drove it to work, a distance of approximately 72 miles. Returning home on the highway, I slowed from 65 mph (using cruise control) to make a left turn onto the turnpike entrance. The car oil light came on and the car cut off or stalled. I had difficulty contollling it to a safe place as the highway I was exiting from (hwy 82 from tahlequah to 412) has no shoulder. Iimmediately tried to restart it but it wouldn't do anything, no clicks, noise, anything. I walked about 1/5 of a mile to a convenience store to call someone. After 15 minutes I returned to the vehicle and it started up. I called the dealer and they told me to bring it in. The next day (today) they called and said they "had found a loose wire near the starter" that must have caused the problem. This sounds completely wrong to me. Why would the car stall and cut off while driving? I have no confidence in the vehicle, but the dealer says they have never heard of the problem.
