Car is stalling while driving and fuel pump and system have had to be replaced twice! head lights and turning signals are have to be replaced often as well!.
I can't completely fill my fuel tank. At 1/2 tank it bottoms out to empty. The fuel gauge is completely unreliable. When making a left hand turn when the fuel is low it will stall and sputter. I was lucky enough that the dealer I bought it from changed the fuel pump right after I bought it because I ran out of fuel on a trip to ohio from illinois but it didn't fix the issue. I only drive it in town because I'm afraid of running out of fuel. Apparently this is very common with this vehicle and I feel there should be a recall. This issue could cause an accident, someone to be stranded in extreme cold/heat. It's unreliable and a major threat to someone's safety. Chrysler should be ashamed.
Driving home from work a good samaritan pulled me over and advised me the gas was pouring out of my car, called fire department and they plugged leak and I had it towed to dealership. They advised me there was questionable damage to the tank and it didn't look like anything was run over or hit but corner of gas tank was severely damaged, lost 3/4 tank of gas on road. The dealership looked over my vehicle, I called insurance company to report incident. They determined that the gas tank would need to be replaced as well as the fuel neck filler valve and both fuel pumps. I had all the suggested work done and two weeks after having my car back I would notice the tank go from 1/2 tank to empty quickly, no leaking gas so I would try to put in gas and only able to put in 2-3 gallons at a time, it then shoots from empty to half tank back down, back up and down. I took it to the dealership again and they determined instead of the used gas tank a brand new one was necessary. Got my car back on 12/30 immediately went to put gas in since they had to drain tank and once again the same problem happened. I cannot put more than 2-3 gallons in gauge fluctuates between 1/2 tank to empty, ran out of gas on highway car stalled in left lane luckily I was able to get over get it towed where they told me it had gas in it, they put in 2 gallons at the dealership and it started right up. This is a safety concern and am scared to drive around three kids in car if it is going to stall. There seems to be a problem with fuel system. Contacted Chrysler and they assigned me a case manager and case number and promised to work with dealership to get car fixed. I have already been without my car 4 times and a total of 5 week since I bought car on 9/07/16. I would love a solution as I love the car.
About 3 weeks I let my cousin use car. She made it to indy twice from fort wayne, and once back home before I came to get car she stated she had set alarm off and then car wouldn't start. I had it towed and they couldn't find the problem completely but thought fuel pump. Car turns over perfect just won't fire. So fuel pump replace and about week and a half later it's starts to not start up on first ignite. Sometimes it takes me two-three tries then it starts. Also something weird 2 times while pumping gas and leaving car on, the car shuts off as soon as gas starts filling. Today for the 3rd time I started pumping gas and my car shut off but this time wouldn't start. It once again turns over but won't start. I had it towed again!!!! any suggestions? could 2006 cars need reset to on computer.
So once again this car is having issues with the fuel pump system. I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica (86616) and one day when driving my car just stalled out and would not start for quite some time. I took it to a Chrysler dealership here in baytown and was told that the plastic evap line may have broken due to a design flaw of the line being not only too short but also made of a harden plastic that is supposed to be rubber instead. I was luck enough to be by myself but if I had my god daughter in the car with me it would have been worst or I could have been seriously injured. Now Chrysler wants close to $800 to fix the issue when in fact this was a design flaw to begin with from the start. I am highly upset and also scared to drive any Chrysler car because of the piss poor design and want to know what and if Chrysler will even do anything to help me and my mom out.

We have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica that we purchased used in 2008. The car stalls when turning like the 2004-2005 models that had a recall f44. We contacted Chrysler customer care at 800 992 1997and found out that the previous owner had taken the car in for repair during the initial recall. Chrysler customer care told us to take the car back to Chrysler because it is covered under the safety recall warranty for 10 years. When we took the car in we learned that the engine cradle is corroding another recall x26. The dealer told us it would cost a couple of thousand dollars to repair. Additionally, we were told that we need two new fuel pumps and that this is not covered by the f44 recall because our 2006 car is outside of the 2004 - 2005 model year recall to replace the fuel pumps. We paid the dealer the cost of the service charge $103 for the information and were told we might consider buying a new car. I am surprised/frustrated and angry that Chrysler is not taking any accountability for both very dangerous safety issues and in essence made $103 profit off of their negligence to create a safe car.

Vehicle was bought 1 year ago from used car dealership, no carfax available, had 120,000 miles, ran great for 4 months. Started having stalling problems, check light coming off/on, had diagnosed as possible fuel pump gage reading wrong, catalytic converter possible. Had check light reset, continued to have major stalling of engine at any speed. Replaced both primary and secondary fuel pump, catalytic converter, 02 sensor (rear). Total repairs $2,718. 74, still has same problem. Problem when vehicle stalls, loss of power unexpectedly, loss of control due to shutdown causes concern, accident waiting to happen, expenses beyond expectations for general maintenance of vehicle. No help from chysler dealership. Says mileage too high, no warranty for defect, beyond dealership scope of concern for customer.
Reccall f44 (fuel pump module). This recall was for repair/replace of module due to fact that Pacifica cars stall with faulty unit. My car has stalled numerous times. I took to dealer as instructed by recall letter. The dealer said they made repair. My vehicle continues to stall. Dealer would not replace part again. I am stuck with a vehicle I cannot drive because it is unsafe to drive.
Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while making a hard turn on an intersectionat approximately 5 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning and the fuel pump gauge malfunctioned, showing an inaccurate reading. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the dual saddle gas tanks were not transferring gas between each other and the fuel pump was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 113,180. Kr.
Rocker arm failure, requiring replacement on both sides. Searched internet and is a known failure with many Pacifica consumers. Responsible car manufacturer should have recalled. Safety hazard primary fuel pump crack on external fuel pump nozzle. External hose connecting primary and secondary fuel pumps original manufacture was ~3-5 cm too short. Hose was stretched to connect fuel pumps, eventually causing the connector nozzle to crack (break) and leak fuel. Hose replacement part has been modified, but owners of original manufacture would never be aware of this until/unless specific service is performed. Result = costly repair to replace both fuel pump and hose.
I was having problems with my "check engine" light kept coming on. I took it up to my mechanic several times & he couldn't find anything wrong. He finally performed a smoke test. Was unable to find any leaks. His computer said I had a small leak detected. He said my fuel pump module was the problem & it would probably cost around $1,000 to fix since he had to drop the gas tank. Couldn't get anywhere with Chrysler. I've been driving now a year & a half plus now my gascap light is also on. I do have my mechanic check whenever I go get my oil change & he resets the check engine light, but it does come back on within a day. I've been on several websites & this is a Chrysler problem that they need to fix. I don't want to end up where I stall out like what I've been reading.

Engine light came on, then the gascap light came on. Was time for inspection and naturally it failed. Immediately took it to repair shop, they checked it over and just replaced the gascap. All lights were off so took it back for inspection. It passed amazingly. Later that day, the gascap light came back on. Drove a number of months with light on knowing it was a new gascap and it needed a smoke test to find the leak. Had alternator replaced and also a new right side fuel pump with the fuel hose from vent on primary to fuel pump vent nipple on other side. They were amazed that I hadn't smelled fuel leaking. Also amazed there was no fire. This is a serious fault and needs to be addressed by Chrysler after reading all the other same problems. Please Chrysler, do the right thing!!.

I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. Everyday it stalls on my wife and kids. It sounds like the recall they they have on the Chrysler Pacifica on the fuel pump module and power train module. I contacted the Chrysler corporation on the issue and they said that the vehicle 's VIN number was not onthe recall list. I told them how can they control which vehicle fuel pump module and power train module is bad. I told them is going to cause a deadly crash one day. All they do is give me the run around. What can I do? thanks for quick response.
