The car has a lot of dangerous problems. For one I had my truck diagnosed and code came back as gas cap. Then it was electric problems after the replacement of the gas cap. Check engine light was still on. So I went for another diagnostic now is coming up power train. Went to 3 to 6 transmission shops and all told me different reasons solenoid, pcm, tcm, or maybe it’s just shot all together is what the last shop told me. That’s a $3,000 repair and that’s ridiculous after I had all those pieces replaced. My car stills doesn’t shift gears as I’m driving I can’t really go over 40 or 50 mph because of high rpm’s. The car doesn’t shift gears and I’m hearing a loud whining noise as I drive. I was on the high way and could get off fast enough because of high rpm’s and the car not shifting and also automatically switches from drive to auto-stick on it’s on. Pls help me.
After putting in gas in the car it will die as if it is not getting gas and when filling up I have to pump slow because it acts like it is not taking the gas. Its died on several occasions while driving without any warning. In traffic goinf through a light it shut off as if it had no gas. The car then will not turn on the key turns over but sputters. Once I pump on the gas after 3 or more attempts it come on. We have replaced the fuel pump and autozone code gave p0461 fuel level sensor a as the problem. This is dangerous as the car just shutting off while driving and unable to start in traffic or just shutting down on the highway. The oil light comes on as well. Theres a noise like a ticking sound I can hear by the gas tank when I shut off the car. As soon as I left the gas station today I had it in drive about to turn on the street with traffic coming and it shut off and wouls not turn on for about 10 minutes. I was lucky I did not get hit.
While driving on interstate rt 80 I experienced a loud noise and smoke and flames were coming from the engine. Pulled over and got myself and my granddaughter out of her car seat. The engine continued to burn until the fire dept come.
Car will intermittently not start on first attempt. It starts after key is turned to off, waiting for 60 seconds, than a successful start. One incident where the vehicle completely sundown while in operation on a city street. Dealership where the vehicle was originally purchased completed the alleged repair. Dealership said it was battery, efficient cold cranking amps. Battery replaced. Eight hundred dollars later. The problem still exists. The times that starting failed the vehicle was always parked for thirty minutes or more. The problem began in April. The vehicle is in excellent shape. 118k miles. Vehicle has been maintained according to Chrysler guidelines. Purchased new.
The car shuts off while driving. I turn the ignition off and it cranks back up. It does this almost every other day. No codes come on the warning lights do not come on the car just shuts off. I know this is an older car and I just bought it but this is a hazard can cause an accident and potentially kill someone. After looking online this seems to be a common problem with these cars even the new models and I can't understand stand why there hasn't been a recall to fix this issue.
Tl the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. While driving at unknown speeds, the rpms decreased and the vehicle stalled. Additionally, the passenger side low beam headlight was flickering. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to key Chrysler Jeep Dodge (2020 n detroit st, xenia, OH 45385) where it was diagnosed that the exhaust gas re-circulation valve and the computer module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 100,540.
2nd time in 6 months a control sensor to engine seems to short out while driving cutting off power to engine while driving leaving me with power and no acceleration and power steering as all engine, oil, traction dash lights come on and car is rendered dead and must pull over by coasting dangerously to side of highway. Twice Chrysler has put my life in jeopardy by car suddenly dying while driving at high speeds.
I purchased my 2007 Chrysler pacifia at a dealer ship in February 2017. I have just had the vehicle for 5 months. The car had everything running and when I say everything running; I mean a/c was working just fine as well as the heater and all windows rolled up and down. I had everything updated on this vehicle. Now 5 months later, I have neighbors on 7/25/2017 at around 2pm that witnessed my car catching on fire. How? I don't know and I am confused and worried because I had just pulled up to my home with my fiance. Our car caught on fire on 7/25/17 I had to call the fire fighters to come out and put the fire out. This was the most scariest thing I have ever experienced. I am overwhelmed. The fire fighters put the fire out and now I am with no vehicle. I am a single mother of 3 that works a double shift just to make a way in life. I am very disappointed in this experience and fear for my life from here on out. I am scared to drive or get in any car because mind you my car had been driving perfectly fine. I am disgusted at the fact that there are cruel people out here with license dealerships that are able to sell vehicles with vehicles that can cost someones life. This is not acceptable and I am requesting an explanation to why this happened and I would like some kind of reimbursement for my vehicle. Me and my children don't have thousands of dollars to throw away I paid for this car cash. If you need proof of my car I can send pictures and report from fire fighters. I can send you proof of me owning the vehicle. I look forward to speaking with you soon you may reach me at delakendra@gmail. Com my name is kendra DE la rosa you may also call me via telephone at 316-550-3083. Thank you for your time. I hope you have a great day!.
My 2007 awd Chrysler Pacifica shut itself off while it was being driven at 55mph on a rural state highway. The entire vehicle shut off and there was no poer steering, etc. It was determined by the dealer the tipm(control module) failed. Luckily we were not driving in heavy traffic or far from home. Ordus Chrysler informed me that when the timp goes bad the vehicle will shut off and not turn back unless taken to a dealer.
I have a Chrysler Pacifica that as I've driven it has completely shut off while driving down the highway or road. It completely shut off as I was going through an intersection. I've had it in and out of the repair shop for the last 5 months and I've been given different answers as to what's wrong. None of them have solved the problem. Finally, today I found a mechanic that said it was the tipm! unfortunately from what I've read this is a huge problem in Chryslers. I'm terrified to drive my car for fear that I'm going to be hurt while driving it. I was almost hit when my car shut off in the middle of an intersection and had kids in my vehicle. This isn't right and it's downright dangerous putting the consumer at such a risk.
07 pacificia will just die when driving at low speed. No warning lights comes on. You lose all control of the car. You can put the car park or netural is will start. You can drive for couple days and will do it again without notice. You take to shop and they can scan it do to no warning light. This happen when you turn or go straight at a slow speed. They have numerous complaints for this and no known answer it fix the problem. The car only has 107000 miles on it.
"takata recall" at 60 mph the vehicle starts to shake. Brand new tires balaced properly, new caliper, and wheel aligjnment. Electrical light on dash keeps coming on and can not exceed 40 mph and vehicle ahuts off sometimes leaving no steerimg or breaks.
Bought in 2007 used, 16000 miles. Last two years, stalls sometimes at low speeds. Loses all power, will not steer, cannot brake. Occurs too randomly to predict. Very dangerous when making turns to join traffic flow as cannot stop or steer car while rolling. Latest example 12/7/15 - nearly at a stop on slight decline, ready to merge with street traffic from parking lot. Suddenly lost power and brake stopped responding and locked up. Steering locked up. Was slowly rolling into oncoming traffic.
I purchased my car three months ago and started having trouble with it one month after purchase. My car stalls and loses power randomly. Has been in the shop for two months and the problem still isn't fixed.
Have owned a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica for almost 3 years now - bought it used and enjoy most features of this car having waited for a few years to purchase one after having recurring (and costly) repair issues with my previous Chrysler (cirrus. ) however, for the past year, I've experienced intermittent stalling issues with my car - while operating/driving and I am now terrified of the what "ifs" since I thought we'd resolved the issue just over a month ago when replacing my egr valve. This was a huge expense particularly since I've been underemployed for a while now, but then again today while driving with my young daughter the issue happened again!! I too have had my share of being inconvenienced by taking to multiple mechanics and repair shops saying they need to "mimick" the issue in order to find the problem. Since this issue occurs intermittently, how is that exactly suppose to happen??? Chrysler corporate really needs to step up and address this issue ASAP since this appears to be a major issue and possible defect on the products themselves used when manufacturing this car and/or a huge defect of this particular make and model of vehicle, in general! Chrysler - please hear us before you all are faced with an even larger penalty than the ones used to recently bail you out - please don't make a further mockery of the process by ignoring the voice of your consumer on such a major health and safety concern. To echo the words of another complaint I came across in my research of this specific issue. . . The price to replace a defect is much less than that of a human life!!.
I have a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica that has been diagnosed as having a bad tipm, the car would lose all interior power along with windshield wipers; this is extremely dangerous as this would happen during rain.
2007 Chrysler Pacifica. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle stalling while driving. The consumer stated the vehicle was at the dealer for a month, with no remedy in sight. The clockspring was replaced. However, the vehicle continued to stalled. The dealer stated the clockspring was replaced, because there was a light on the dashboard.
The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the key would not turn over into the on position to start the vehicle. The contact mentioned that after multiple attempts, the key was able to turn over to start the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that while traveling 40 mph to merge on the highway, the vehicle stalled. The contact was not able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the authorized dealer for further inspection and diagnosis. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
The traction control and esp lights have been on for months, dealer states that the problem is the clockspring, but part is not available. So currently the esp and traction control, both of which are safety features are not functioning and I can not repair cause part is not readily available, I feel there should be a recall to cover this safety concern.
I purchased a vehicle end of may 2014. Vehicle has since started cutting off while driving with no warning. I have called Chrysler and was referred to one of there dealers in oakville connecticut. They had the car for a week and was unable to find the problem. I took it home and the next day the car shut off while driving, I called the dealer again and was told to bring it back and its been there since September 2, 2014 and they still have not found problem. Its very frustrating that I have purchased a vehicle for safe driving and I fear for my family and myself to drive this vehicle and cause an accident and getting hurt.
The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the electronic stability control, brake assist system, and traction control warning lights illuminated for more than 18 months. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the clockspring (part number 68281393ab) needed to be replaced. The manufacturer failed to produce the required part to repair the vehicle. The contact and mechanic contacted the dealer and manufacturer numerous times during the 18 months to purchase the parts, but was not successful. The failure mileage was 148,000.
While driving the electrical panels are flushing multiple time some kind of warning noise sound and then the dash light stays on with all the lights sties on and the engine runs morally, we have to pull over and turn the engine off and restart it and after a few miles the same repeats again and again, the dealer dose not know about it and they wants to change multiple part to figure to fix the issue, which is costly and expensive too, and plus we have to find another vehicle for the daily need that take kids to school and daily grocery shopping. It is scary and specially when the kids are in the vehicle.
The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who stated that the tipm needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000.
Tl- the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled several times and was able to be restarted. The contact indicated that the failure was progressing and the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number:06v432000 (power train), but the vehicle exhibited the same symptoms as the safety recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was parked at the contacts residence and was not able to be driven. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. Dyd.
Power door locks unexpectedly unlocked while driving 45 mph.
The vehicle dies--especially when coasting toward a stop sign or light, or down hills--usually at lower speeds, though several times at speeds of 40 mph. The power brakes and power steering cease. The only option is to shift into neutral and restart the car. Going around corners at speeds higher that 25 is difficult, this car has been in the shop several times for the same thing; they can't really find anything wrong but have charged me over $2500 this year alone. I'm afraid to drive this as this has been happening on nearly a daily basis. And taking it to the dealer seems futile. Is this part of the recall? I'd hate to see my wife or someone else injured or killed because the safety systems on the vehicle stopped working at the same time--such as happened with the gm products.
When driving, our 07 Pacifica will randomly lose power and there will be no brakes and no steering. I have to put it in neutral and restart the engine while the car is still in motion. This has occurred on the freeway and also around town. It is most noticeable when I am approaching a corner or stop light/ stop sign and slowing down to turn or to stop. On the freeway, I was not slowing down or preparing to stop when it happened. The check engine light and etc light (electronic throttle control light) come on when it happens. We have taken our car to non-Chrysler dealerships/auto shops over the summer because it's less expensive to scan. The car was in the shop three times this summer, and the problem was not corrected. This is a frightening occurance and we may have to take it in to our Chrysler dealership anyway.
While driving on a side road in town, going between 40-50 mph, my car shimmied. I had taken my car to a mechanic, and he found that all 4 motor mounts were broken. They were replaced and within 3 months, they were broken again. The mechanic could not find anything that was causing the motor mounts to break. He has replaced my motor mounts a total of 4 times in less than a year. My Pacifica still shimmies and shakes when accelerating between 40-50 mph. When I release the gas, it will stop, but sometimes shimmies when I touch the gas again. Passed 50 mph, the car does not shimmy and shake.
The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced several failures in which the vehicle would fail to accelerate when engaged, the air conditioning was erroneously blowing hot air and the engine would shift when driving at various speeds. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who replaced the fuel tank and the air conditioning system. The motor mount brackets were also replaced by a local mechanic. After the repairs, the gear shifter could not be shifted from park. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who advised that the gear shifter had to be replaced. The gear shifter was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. The approximate current mileage was 70,000.
From one day to another, the engine light turned on, the oil light turned on, the esp bas light turned on, the car sign with the curved lines under it, and the awd sign and that's just to name a few. The car was also not reversing and the car was shifting really hard. Took it into the dealer, and they told my mechanic that it was the computer, but they weren't sure if that would even fix the problem because they are not sure if that is the problem. They said I would have to pay for everything and if that didn't fix it I would have to spend more money until they found the actual fix. And the best part is when the car was under warranty they had to reprogram the pcm. Power train:automatic transmission:control module (tcm, pcm). This car has always been kept in tip top shape with its regular maintenance, oil changes and etc. . . Do not know what to do at this point because under the advice of my mechanic, he says this car is way to new to be giving so many problems. All I know is that Chrysler will be hearing from my attorney, because for what I know this is not the first time Chrysler has had problems with their pcm,tcm which is the cars computer. Someone please help!!!! I can not drive this car anymore, I have a 2 year old daughter and I refuse to put her in a car that is going crazy!.
The car continues to stall at low speeds. We have taken to mechanic and they do not find any service alerts, and weren't able to duplicate on a test drive. It is starting to pick up in frequency to where it is doing it every other day now. I also called the service group at the chrsyler dealer I purchased it from, and they said they can only do what I had already done with the other mechanic shop. I went to the Chrysler forum to post and see if anyone else had experienced this, and see numerous postings of this issue over the years. I am very concerned with the safety of my family, as when the car stalls, it locks up and I lose control. I have to pull over and restart.
My 2007 Chrysler Pacifica has start up issues. Regularly it will not start on the first try. Dealer shop does not know the cause of this problem. Several reports in online forum about this problems with pacific. I called Chrysler representative, but did not help.
I have a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica touring 4. 0. The vehicles lights will flicker, the air conditioner and radio turn off and without notice the vehicle will lose total power. No power steering, no hazard lights nothing. I have been stranded in the middle of the busy intersection. I took my vehicle to the Chrysler dealership to get serviced 3 times I paid $713. 00 and they still have not fixed the problem. I have emailed a complaint with Chrysler headquarters. I was given a case manager who does not call me back. This vehicle shuts off without warning and can cause death or injury to myself, my family and others and Chrysler can care less about it.
Engine stalls / shuts off at low speed - this has occurred 18 times since and seems to be getting progressively worse. Now it is occurring at higher speeds (50mph) when turning around bends. Loss of power steering contributes to the problem. The interior power remains on while a oil display light flashes. Once stopped the vehicle will restart and no further problem is detected. These types of stalling problems occur intermittently. The same sort of scenario happens every time the engine shuts off (stalls).
My daughter brought me this car for my birthday 2007. I have been complaining since 2007 about the ignition. I was told it was the key. I purchase a new key, well the key is not the problem. I have been in the middle of the street and the car would just shout off. I keep replacing batteries after batteries. I finally found out it is the ignition, the way I found out is a certain way I had to turn the key for the car to start. I really learn to love my car but I have so many issues I don't know whether I would advise anymore to purchase one. I have had many issues until I became very dissatisfied with the company. I would appreciate if you take a look at this problem. Thanks the car would just cut off in the middle of the street. Unexplainable.
