My vehicle all of a sudden started to reflect an empty tank after a few minutes of driving after putting about a half a tank or more of fuel in the tank. I had one of the fuel pumps replaced and it seemed to have fixed the problem for a week or so and then it was doing the same thing again.

Reccall f44 (fuel pump module). This recall was for repair/replace of module due to fact that Pacifica cars stall with faulty unit. My car has stalled numerous times. I took to dealer as instructed by recall letter. The dealer said they made repair. My vehicle continues to stall. Dealer would not replace part again. I am stuck with a vehicle I cannot drive because it is unsafe to drive.

The fuel pumps in the gas tanks stop working. They wont pump fuel from one tank to the other. My gas gage shoes full then when it get a little below half im out of gas because the pumps are not pumping gas from one side to the other side. I had new pumps put in 2,000 miles ago and the went out already. Chrysler need to recall this problem. I'm not the only one that is having this problem. We as Chrysler owners cant afford to pay for this all the time. I know for a fact there is a Chrysler dealer that said he has them coming in like a revolving door. I cant trust the car to go on long trips. I love the car other than this problem. Thank you for reading this. I hope something get done. I called the Chrysler customer service center but got nowhere with them.

Rocker arm failure, requiring replacement on both sides. Searched internet and is a known failure with many Pacifica consumers. Responsible car manufacturer should have recalled. Safety hazard primary fuel pump crack on external fuel pump nozzle. External hose connecting primary and secondary fuel pumps original manufacture was ~3-5 cm too short. Hose was stretched to connect fuel pumps, eventually causing the connector nozzle to crack (break) and leak fuel. Hose replacement part has been modified, but owners of original manufacture would never be aware of this until/unless specific service is performed. Result = costly repair to replace both fuel pump and hose.

The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic, who replaced the fuel pump filter and fuel pressure regulator however the failure was not corrected. The manufacturer advised the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number 06v432000 (power train). The approximate failure and current mileage was 105,000.
I was having problems with my "check engine" light kept coming on. I took it up to my mechanic several times & he couldn't find anything wrong. He finally performed a smoke test. Was unable to find any leaks. His computer said I had a small leak detected. He said my fuel pump module was the problem & it would probably cost around $1,000 to fix since he had to drop the gas tank. Couldn't get anywhere with Chrysler. I've been driving now a year & a half plus now my gascap light is also on. I do have my mechanic check whenever I go get my oil change & he resets the check engine light, but it does come back on within a day. I've been on several websites & this is a Chrysler problem that they need to fix. I don't want to end up where I stall out like what I've been reading.

Gas gauge showed 1/3 full & it suddenly dropped to empty. "milesto empty" went from 142 to 14, then 6. Upon starting the car the next morning, fuel gauge showed 1/3 full then dropped to empty again. "miles to empty" showed 2. I drove 8 miles then added 14 gallons of gas to fill the 23 gallon tank. It has happened at least 5 times since then. One mechanic told me I had to bring it in when it was happening as it was a sensor issue. Another told me the car actually has two gas tanks & the fuel pump vacuum was probably not picking up the fuel from the second tank properly. He said the dealership fixed a 2005 Pacifica with the same issue.

Engine light came on, then the gascap light came on. Was time for inspection and naturally it failed. Immediately took it to repair shop, they checked it over and just replaced the gascap. All lights were off so took it back for inspection. It passed amazingly. Later that day, the gascap light came back on. Drove a number of months with light on knowing it was a new gascap and it needed a smoke test to find the leak. Had alternator replaced and also a new right side fuel pump with the fuel hose from vent on primary to fuel pump vent nipple on other side. They were amazed that I hadn't smelled fuel leaking. Also amazed there was no fire. This is a serious fault and needs to be addressed by Chrysler after reading all the other same problems. Please Chrysler, do the right thing!!.
Since I purchased my vehicle the front low beam lights have went out numerous times while driving at night. I have had them replaced on several occasions and the problem persists. Recently I have had problems with my battery and was told by pepboys auto shop that something is draining the battery and its possibility is the exterior lighting/headlamps. Even though I continue to replace the headlamps they keep going out and my battery is being drained. After 2 batteries in 3 years I had the alternator checked and it was in good condition. I was told to look up a recall list where I found exterior lighting 05v066000 and I called. I also have had a fuel pump problem that seems to exist and no one can figure out way. After getting it fixed by the Chrysler dealership twice my vehicle will not pass smog because of another leak. I also found out that there are complaints of some similar issues fuel pump/powertrain control module software 06v432000 and I called. Please put these to issues on the recall list so that auto owners will be safe on the road and California's air will not be polluted by the fumes.
A similar incident has occurred on my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica as stated below. "on certain passenger vehicles, the fuel pump module and the power train control module (pcm) software may allow the engine to stall under certain operating conditions. " the manufacture is stating that because of my vehicle's VIN# it wasn't part of this recall# f44. It is clear to me that the same conditions that have happen to the vehicles part of recall# f44 should pertain to any vehicle built prior to the dates associated with this recall Chrysler is recognizing for repairs. All Pacificas should be under the #f44 recall notice, not just a certain portion. I've had to replace the exact same items listed as a necessary repair to correct the problem. As like recall# f44, I to had to replace the fuel pump modules, for the left and right side. However, the difference is it was out of my own pocket for these repairs.
Have a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica I've had this truck for two years, I've always had a problem with the gas running out like water. I took my truck to Chrysler for them to do a tune up, while there I told them about the problem. When I got back to pick upmy truck they told me that both of my fuel pumps were bad. It seems like they know what's wrong with these trucks and they just decided to tell everyone their fuel pumps are bad. Anyway, I had the fuel pumps changed and the problem got worse. Now if I put $10 in it the gauge will read 1/2 tank. If I fill it up once it gets to 1/2 tank it'll just drop to the e. Once it reads e it cuts off. There could be a full tank of gas but it will still read e. I took it back to Chrysler so many times they couldn't find anything wrong. The last time I went back up there, they said I need to replacethe whole tank. I know for a fact that replacing the tank won't fix it. To add to that, while I'm pumping gas the gas foams or it kicks back. I refuse to keep paying my money for them to keep playing the guessing game. If my truck shuts down completely or cause an accident I'm suing Chrysler and everyone else!!! Chrysler needs to fix the issue, there is a defect. I even called headquarters and they're saying they can't help because the truck is so many years old, and because of the mileage. Thing is they knew what was wrong with these trucks. Chrysler needs to fix this issue! !!!!!.

I own a 2005 Pacifica touring edition. A couple months ago it stalled out and said I was out of gas. I figured someone might have suffered the gas from my tank so I went and filled up and it only took 7 dollars of gas. Tank read half tank. Within 50 miles, car stalled and said it was empty again. Went to gas station again and it only took 12 dollars of gas. The last straw was I was on the interstate and it stalled in the fast lane going up hill. We almost got hit by a tractor trailer. We drifted back into median and had car towed to the shop. They said nothing is wrong except for the fact I was out of gas but they could not find any leaks. I left there went to gas station, only a mile away, and it took 3 dollars to fill it up! this happens on a frequent basis and every shop says there is nothing wrong. Obviously there is something wrong! I read other reports with the same problem! so what can be done to fix problem? why hasn't Chrysler recalled the fuel pump or whatever is causing the problem??? if this doesn't get fixed soon, someone is going to be seriously injured or killed by their car stalling! please fix this problem Chrysler!.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. While refueling the fuel tank, the fuel pump nozzle stopped indicating that the fuel tank was full. I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. Everyday it stalls on my wife and kids. It sounds like the recall they they have on the Chrysler Pacifica on the fuel pump module and power train module. I contacted the Chrysler corporation on the issue and they said that the vehicle 's VIN number was not onthe recall list. I told them how can they control which vehicle fuel pump module and power train module is bad. I told them is going to cause a deadly crash one day. All they do is give me the run around. What can I do? thanks for quick response.

Rick hendrick Jeep/Chrysler, north charleston, SC did not perform the necessary job duties to remedy the safety recall of the fuel pump on my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. The dealer had my vehicle for 4 days, but the recall was not properly corrected which caused major danger to myself and my family! I first began to smell gas on Tuesday evening after I filled my gas tank and continued to smell excessive gas on Wednesday so I called the service department. I was told to bring my vehicle back to be checked out, but they claimed nothing was found! so I returned home on their word. The very next day, Thursday, I proceeded to fill my gas tank again to take a road trip out of state that evening, but as my tank was filling so was the ground of the gas station. . . I was very upset at this point!!!! I called rick hendrick's service manager who didn't exhibit any remorse for my endangerment! I was quite irate at this point because I felt endangered and was suppose to be on my way out of town, but could not leave due to rick hendrick's service department lack of responsibility to take care of me as a customer satifactorily! I told the s. M. That I wanted to be compensated for the two gas fill-ups that I had lost due to their problem, but he did not compensate me! my vehicle and myself was towed to the dealer, and finally they found that they were at fault. . . Not myself! they did not put the correct seal on my vehicle, therefore, the gas was leaking out! I was not treated satisfactorily once I arrived at the dealer. This was a total inconvenience traveling 50 miles each time for their problem! I want compensation, and a formal apology from rick hendrick! I also contacted the general manager who has never called me back regarding this matter, therefore, I will seek other recourses. I will definitely not recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle from there, and I have decided not to give them my business any longer!.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the driver's seat belt failed to function, the service engine indicator illuminated, and there was an internal leak emitting from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 06v432000 (power train); however, the fuel pump module was not replaced. The technician was unable to determine where the vehicle was leaking. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer on several occasions, but the failure was unable to be replicated or diagnosed. The contact was waiting for a response from the manufacturer to determine the recommended repair solution. The approximate failure mileage was 147,000.
Purchased the car six weeks ago and it has 2,500 miles on it. I was making a left turn onto a busy exit entering a major highway (route 1n) and the car stalled and steering wheel locked. I have a four year old and a two year old. Thank god they were not in the car with me. No accident occurred. The dealer appointment is in five days at which they will test drive the vehicle with me to try to recreate the situation.
