1 Crankcase (pcv) problem

Failure Date: 04/06/1999

Car won't run or idle at low speed or at a stop in gear. Replaced cap, rotor, plugs, no change. Dealer troubleshot for seven hours and replaced the ais motor and cleaned heavy carbon out of the intake. Dealer told us to drive the car around to allow the cleaner to remove the carbon in the intake. Extremely dangerous task. The car's performance has not improved. Dealer suggests replacement of the pcv valve. Remedy seems suspect.
