Engine Head Gasket Leaking problems of the 1996 Chrysler Sebring

Two problems related to engine head gasket leaking have been reported for the 1996 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Head Gasket Leaking problem

Failure Date: 10/13/2000

Front suspension would wearout excessively. Front wheel bearings had to be replaced. Also, lower left ball joint/ outer tie rod end/ sway bar link, and bushings were replaced by mechanic. In addition, head gaskets were leaking water and oil, and they were replaced.

2 Engine Head Gasket Leaking problem

Failure Date: 04/15/1997

Vehicle has been leaking oil for more than a year. Dealer told that engine head gasket has a leak. Also, the brake rotors and pads are being changed every five months, there is no warning signs the brakes would suddenly begin to grind. In addition, the convertable top has been flying off, and now leaks air and water if it rains.
