Engine problems of the 1996 Chrysler Sebring

Three problems related to engine have been reported for the 1996 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2005

The engine mounts broke. Consumer was concerned that the engine will fall out while driving.

2 Engine problem

Failure Date: 05/05/1998

Engine head gasket started leaking. Surprised to find out that the dealer could not fix the car right away as the head gasket was not available because it was being re-designed. Found several other people with the same problem plus the ntsa site reports that Chrysler has designed a multiple layer head gasket to solve thisproblem. Owners should be re-imbursed for the cost to fix this problem.

3 Engine problem

Failure Date: 05/01/1997

Replaced warped front brake rotors/pads. In addition, rear main seal malfunctioned/vc boot cover flew off/ fuel injections dirty and mirror switch failed.
