1 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem

Failure Date: 09/29/2004

Sporadically the fuse that controls the starter and fuel pump blew upon starting the vehicle. When the fuse is replaced everything is fine. On 1 occasion when this occurred 12 fuses where replaced, and they all blew out when the vehicle was restarted. The starter was diagnosed as the problem and replaced. The following day the problem recurred. Dealership kept the vehicle for a week, and indicated that they were not able to get the problem to constantly recur in order to further diagnose the problem.

2 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem

Failure Date: 12/11/2003

Starter fuse keeps blowing. Started a year ago. I have gone through 25 fuses in one year. Called last year, Chrysler said they did not know. Brought car in on October 27th, 2004. Was sent home with nothing done. They did not know how to fix the problem. Problem getting worse. Afraid I will not have a vehicle soon. I am bringing it in on Dec 17th. Have done recearch and found many, many people with this problem. Is this something that is designed wrong? everyone seems to have to spend $500. 00 to buy a new starter to fix this problem. Why can't the starter be perfect? why do we need to buy a new one in order for this problem to go away? my car is only 3 years old. Here are some message boards you should review. . Read more...
