Three problems related to wiring have been reported for the 2001 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler Sebring lx1. While driving, the vehicle stalled and would not shift out of first gear. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the electrical wiring caused the failure to occur. The vehicle was not serviced. The failure and the current mileages were 119,000.
On December 13, 2003 I was involved in a car accident where damage was sustanined to the front driver side of the vehicle. Since the acccident the radio has not worked. The insurance company did not find that the problem with the radio was as a result of the accident. The car dealer indicated that there may have been a defect with the radio. The radio has not been replaced or fixed.
Consumer states per dealership there was signficant electrical faultiness to ignite the wiring installation and immediate combustibles into open flame. Vehicle was totalled.
