general problems of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring

Ticking noise coming from passengers compartment glove box seat belt light on and seat moves when come to a stop and driver side door handle just came off on the passenger side can't open the door from outside of vehicle there should be recall for this.

No incident as of yet my air bag light on a nd there is ticking from the passenger side of the compartment glove box and the drivers seat moves when coming to a stop.

The door locking machanizism has failed . The air bag lite stays on. . .

Horn stared going off on its own, while driving or just sitting, then the transmission started lagging, rpms drop while I'm driving and am unable to get back up to speed for a minute. I drive on the interstate daily for work and both of these are a huge hazard for me and other drivers. I assume the problems are related being as they both went crazy at the same time. While driving on the interstate to work my car just sort of died without dieing the rpms dropped and the car tried to die but diidnt. The gas ped stopped working while this was occuring and I was unable to get back up to speed. It eventually kicked out of it but did it again the following week, driving out of my parking lot at work rpms dropped and was unable to use my gas ped. I gotit again to get out of it but all its going to take is this happening and a car behind me and and accident will happen.

The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Sebring. While the vehicle was idling at a traffic light, both frontal air bags deployed without warning or impact. The contact received burns on the right arm and hearing loss for one day. Medical assistance was not needed. The manufacturer inspected the vehicle and informed the owner that the vehicle was too old, the warranty expired and they were not going to repair it (case number 29852258). The failure mileage was 164,000.

Takata recall. During the course of a year since I've purchased this car, I have experienced issues with what I believe to be power steering. Twice while coming to a stop (stop sign or light), my steering would lock along with my brakes. When I took it to a shop I was told my thermostat needed replaced. I told them to fix the issue. On April 17th while driving home from work a little after midnight this same issue occurred only while I was still driving. I was able to force my wheel to turn enough to drive up the bend I was driving around rather than the school in front of me. Finally I hit a pole and my car has been ruled as a total loss. I have many concerns in regards to what actually happened and why.

I was in a car accident on June 19 2015 the front end of my car total loss my car air bags didn't deploy. I was injured in this accident I would like information on what can be done.

Takata recall. According to the air bag recall info. This auto is among the listed but the dealership and you people won't do anything. Our air bag red light on the dash has been on now 2yrs. The seat belt red light and warning noise goes on frequently even tho it is secure. Quite annoying.

While I was sitting in my car at the traffic light which was red at the time. A dwi truck driver speeding and hit a moving car and push the car into my car and the drunk truck driver hit my car next at the same time cause another CA my car and the speeding dwi driver in the truck hit my car car and my car was total out and I receive serious life time injury from the wreck . The dwi driver was given a traffic ticket and was taken to jail,however my air bags did not go off. I wastold by the doctor if my bag would have deployed I would,nt have been injuried so bad.

I own a 2008 Chrysler Sebring touring convertible and 1 week after buying this vehicle in April 2009, the fabric on the driver side seat "busted" open. The seats have a zipper up the back of them that are designed to bust open when the airbags deploy. The dealer fixed this at this time for no cost. Now, the passenger seat has done the same thing. My air bag default light continues to state a malfunction and it was at this time that I noticed the fabric has busted open on the passenger seat indicating another malfunction with the air bag within that seat. I am concerned there is a safety concern with the airbags in my car and am concerned they are not working/will not work if needed. I would greatly appreciate any help with this potential safety risk.
