The car loss compression in the middle of driving. Try to crank it but it drains the battery. Also, I bought the car a year the buy here pay here company ripped out the lemon law page for tennessee but kept the other pages in.
I was on my way to work. All the warning light appeared on my dash. Then all the warning light, radio, speedometer gage and all head light and tail lights went out. I was driving in the dark. My engine bogged down no power. I was barley moving. I replaced the battery no difference. I replaced the alternator worked for 3 minutes and then the car was back to the same as before. I contacted a nearby mechanic facility they told me that it was most definitely the fuse panel under the hood. That's its not a recall but a lawsuit replacement. I notified the manufacturer and they told me my VIN number was not under recall. I'm confused on what to do not. I'm in no way able to purchase a new vehicle at this time. Nor spend hundreds or thousands in repairs. Please help.
Purchased may 15th. And now car sits in my apartment parking lot as a roadblock for all tenants since may 27th. 2008sebring started fine. Drove 2 miles roundtrip, vehicle ride was rough upon turning into residence thankfully I was not on the street in traffic when the car decided to stop ,the windows were down I still have not been able to get them rolled up . Lights instrument panel lights went haywire flashing, ding chime sound continuous. The backdash illuminate light has never worked. Wont accept jump from cables, has power in areas under hood, charged to 12v on charger able to get code (dtc-u1403 implausible fuel level signal. Just like the recall of the wiring issue it's similar. The week this happened the tire pressure indicator in the lower left corner of dash was lit up and the cruise control light would come on but when engaged it would not drive at the limit set only reduce is speed the stereo cd changer didn't work I thought it was just because it was old the cigarette lighter which I used for my power source the light on that device would flicker in and out showing it wasn't getting a good connection the key would get stuck in the ignition or do a continuous storage where you it would not spring back as it should you'd have to turn it off and then try to restart it the battery in the fob work just fine before all of this took place now the battery is dead in the fob as well. It won't hold a charge I want to know how it's going to get fixed and with whose money?? $95 for diagnostic. While covering windows later that night,I was able to see a dim red light where the tire pressure indicator was lit up at the fuses are fine the battery is 6 months old but it is constantly draining I it won't stay charged I can't get it out of gear it to put it in neutral to move it anywhere. Main purpose was to get me to my doctor appointments now I can't even do that& I haven't been able to do that. . I think this recall has revisited. Its unsafe.
In February 2021 my car wouldn’t stop, tried to give it a jump and it still wouldn’t start. Replaced the battery and it started working again. In April 2021 my engine light came on. I got a diagnostic and the error code read: p2016 intake manifold runner position sensor/switch circuit low bank 1. I didn’t get it fixed. Shortly after, I began hearing a faint crackling noise and noticed when I would drive on turn pikes my a red brake symbol would briefly pop up on my dash board and then go away. In may 2021 my horn stopped working and front right turn signal light stopped working. I tried to get a new one installed it wouldn’t work. I was told it could be an electrical issue. In July 2021 my right low beam head light stopped working. I tried to get a new bulb installed and it still wouldn’t work. At this time I was told the same thing, that it seems like there may be an electrical issue. This month, November 2021, a few days ago on Monday November 1st, I began noticing an acceleration issue in the morning. I would press the accelerator and it wouldn’t pick up until a few seconds later, it was like a delay. Later that day while I was driving on the free way a red flash symbol with lines between it began flashing on my car and my car wouldn’t drive over 20 mph. I pulled over. Shortly after I turned my car back on and it began driving semi normal and I was able to get home. I tried out my car the next day and in the morning the same thing happened again. The red flash symbol with 2 lines on the side of it began flashing on my dashboard and my car wouldn’t go over 20 mph. I’m not sure what the issue is but when I looked up what the red flashing symbol, I noticed a few others who had a similar experience with their 2008 Chrysler Sebring which made me want to look up whether there was a recall and I found out there was but when I searched whether my car was eligible through my VIN number it said there was none unrepaired.
The contact's wife owns a 2008 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the roadway and waited for approximately 30 minutes before the vehicle was restarted and resumed normal operation. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 08v152000 (electrical system) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 174,000.
My tps light has been on for quite some time and after a short time since the first time it appeared my issue worsens everyday. My car stalls, not only when I am stopped at a light, but even when I am driving at high speeds and the check engine light stays on all the time and blinks and dings at times and now the airbag light is on as well and blinks and dings all the time while the car is started. I took the car to get check for error codes, but none come up when the diagnostics is ran.
My win module is no good or my cars computer. When I drive my car shuts off.
My husband and I are experiencing problems recently with the car stahling out and or getting stuck in low gear while driving on the hwy, it was terrifying! we are currently not at home and have a 10 hour drive back home while driving this extremely unstable car and am honestly scared to death we are going to get in an accident! this is the 3rd battery swap we've done in 3 months but only have last 2 receipts. We have done research and this car has had electrical recall for this problem however apparently our VIN dont match up to the recall. I dont understand it, this is extremely horrible business from Chrysler and as soon as we can get home hopefully safely. . We wont buy another. Please help fast!.
The convertible roof would open with pausing. The trunk was stuck open not closing but you could hear motor. Now trunk closed and stay closed with no motor sound. Convertible top isn't opening but when car drives at 30mph the roof flies open. The dashboard light would go off and on while driving, causing unable to see mph or anything. I can not drive due to fear of being in a accident or causing one since the car is malfunctioning and the roof will fall off on routine driving on highway with speed limits the car can't exceed.
Airbag light on dash panel starting flashing on and off. I was driving at the time. I stopped and turned off the engine to see when I restarted if it would stop but it did not. Still flashing ever few seconds and then goes off. Not sure the reason or it their has been a recall I was unaware of.
Seatbelt light on dash keeps chiming as if I don't have my seat belt on. This chimes and light comes on randomly while in motion. Or parked.
While driving the dashboard lights flickered then went out, my convertible top has a malfunction and will not open and the door locks unlock and lock on their own.
While driving - electrical issues. Fuel gage does not work. Dashboard display lights go out intermittently, power window issues, tire pressure (tpms) light comes on,.
When making a left hand turn car quit running and turned off.
I bought this vehicle as is in February of this year. The convertible top gets stuck in the up position and doesn't go back down. I cannot see otu of the rear view and obviously cannot operate the vehicle safely. I contacted a dealership and Chrysler and both told me the recall had been addressed in 2008 (they llooked it up by VIN). However, it obviously wasn't since the top is still sticking. They basically told me too bad. However, they were unable to tell me which dealership had marked it as a completed and repaired recall which is strange. I would like it fixed ASAP since I cannot operate the vehicle without being able to see out the rear windshield! it was in a parking lot when this happened.
Backing out of my driveway the engines suddenly shut down but restarted without an issue. Later that day the red warning light came on and the engine started to have no power and then staled I was able to move to the side of the road and saw the throttle position sensor light was on (witch I looked up in owner manual. Was able to get it started again and drove it to my mechanic who tested it and said I needed a throttle body. T hat was replaced now 4 days later I was on a hov lane doing 65 light came on engine sputtered but didn't stall arrived at destination when I got back in car light was out and car started. Driving home I had to pull over several times when light was illuminated . My concern is driving at highway speeds especially where I live there are long tunnels I travel through hopefully it doesn't do this to anyone driving through them and anywhere that would definitely cause a serious accident , the initial repair to replace throttle body was $271 and an additional $88 for same issue now throttle pedal needs replaced cost at this time unknown.
Bought battery and somethg is still draining and it keeps hsppening.
Key switch sticks on start , moves to acc ,on ,freely. Cannot believe Chrysler isn't replacing the switch as it is doing the same thing that I read the 700,000 they recalled.

I was driving and my vehicle started over heating and then wouldn't run. I have put w gone coolant in it several time. The radiator hose top part is completely busted. Needing a new head gasket, and whole top radiator hose now. On top of that the power steering hose is messed up also. My car window also doesn't work. It's stuck rolled down because of an electrical problem. I want it all fixed ASAP. I can't afford the fix. I am a single pregnant mother who has several appointments to get to and from between my daughter and I. Just going to the store for food has almost been impossible. We have to rely on others to help us. I need my car out the shop. Please help.
Car has stalled while driving 4 times in the last week that we have owned it. Took it to dealer to get looked at and it is the tipm that costs $1000 to fix.
Passenger window exploded in the door while touching control button for window to open to ask directions. Had to travel by myself to mexico 300 miles away and had to drive all the way back to las vegas with no window. The driver's side window did the same exact thing last summer in 2015. Called fca customer assistance center everyday for a week now and they told me my case was being escalated to a case manager. They would not help me. All I want is for Chrysler to pay for the repair of my defective window. I called 1-800-992-1997. They call themselves fca customer assistance center. They were a waste of my time and effort. Last window on driver's side did the very same thing. I want satisfaction!!! I want the window repaired by chyrsler on them as I repaired my last window blowout. Can any one suggest some help as I really need it today and even last week? I'm afraid of driving my own car. Chyrslers should either bring their windows up to new standards (electrically) or not sell any to people who live in the desert. They are not safe!!! this car is always garaged and has low mileage as I worked close to home. What's this world coming to? who's out there to help me? chyrsler sure is not!!! only god!!!!!!!!! I stopped for directions on this last window explosion, but the other window I was driving to the hospital without stopping.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible. When the seat belt was buckled, the warning light remained illuminated and the engine failed while driving 10 mph. The vehicle was taken in for diagnostic testing. The mechanic stated that the vehicle could not be diagnosed because the battery continued to drain. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.
The dash lights go on and off randomly. An easy search on google shows this to be a design flaw with thousands of consumers affected. This should be an immediate recall to replace the 12 volt inverter which is flawed.
Had my car going on a year and I have made my trips to NY in August of 2014 a week after I purchased the car and going to mi may of this year and once I turn my headlights off I lose all dash lights when I turn them back on. Had to use my phone for light just to see my speed. Doesn't happen all the time just the 2 times so far when I took my trips from nc n back.

All warning lights are on. The head lights are going off. Happens in motion and stationary.

First I went to start the car, I noticed the battery wasn't starting. I open the hood and tried to move the battery post, they were tight, but the plastic cover on the post started sending sparks out when I touched it. After a while I tried to start it again and it started right up. Then I noticed the malfunction indicator light came on. I let it run for about a minute then I turned it off. I didn't drive it at all that day. Later I checked it again. It didn't start. So I did the same thing again it started right up but the electronic throttle control light was on as well. I was afraid to drive it I thought the sparks might make it catch on fire. I think there were a recall on this car a while back. I've never had a problem with this car. I know that many people have had this same problem on their Chrysler vehicles. I read about many other problems as well. What should I do next? I'm really not interested in paying any deductibles and car repairs at this time. Help!!! is this anything that I need to worry about?.
After a few days of the windows not operating properly and the car hesitating at times during acceleration, it would not start after being parked for an hour. The vehicle was towed and it was diagnosed as the tipm was not working and that it had been supplying continuous power to the fuel pump and the wires were burned! this certainly sounds like a fire hazard. This repair cost over $1000 with $677. 50 being for parts. I see that jeeps have been recalled and there are other similar complaints about the tipm for vehicles. Why is this not a recall item?.
