Failure Date: 05/21/2002

Consumer states that while the vehicle was idling in park a child was able to shift the lever into resulting in a collision.

2 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Failure Date: 02/18/2002

Vehicle was idling in park when the gear shift was knocked into reverse. Passenger inside vehicle quickly shifted vehicle back into park. Consumer has contacted dealer and manufacturer.

3 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Failure Date: 04/26/2001

While parked and still running, back pack on 7 year old son hit transmission shift lever and caused vehicle to run into garage. Dealer / manufacturer were not notified at this time. Feel free to provide any further details on this matter.

4 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Failure Date: 02/19/2001

Vehicle was parked, and consumer's daughter fell onto gear shift and put vehicle in motion. Dealership was aware of problem.

5 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2001

Consumer had the vehicle running and one of the children was reaching for something and hit gear shift out of park. There was no accident, but consumer assumed there was interlock system on vehicle. Dealer stated that they were not requested by government to put interlock system into vehicle.

6 Automatic Transmission Park/neutral Start Switch problem

Failure Date: 09/14/1997

Gears can be shifted from park to reverse without depressing brake pedal. Accident resulted from gears being accidentally.
