Five problems related to brake disc have been reported for the 1996 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While changing the oil, owner noticed that the inbroad rotors were 40% rusted at 33,000 miles. The outbroad rotors are perfectly clean. At 39,000 miles, the inbroad pads are totally gone, broken off metal to metal. The problem has been reported to the dealer/manufacturer. The problem has not been corrected.
Brake system is not responding adequately, extended stopping distance.
Brake failure.
While driving experienced brake failure, when made attempt to slow/stop, pedal went to floor and vehicle continued to roll forward, no prior warning.
Front brake rotors are rusted and pitted on interior surfaces / front brake pads are prematurely worn.
