Air Bag Light On problems of the 2000 Chrysler Town & Country

Cruse cont does not work horn not working and air bag light is on. All of them worked off and on for a time but not now06.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the clockspring failed and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

1) driving, and turning the steering wheel is what caused the failure 2)something broke in the steering column. Now nothing works on the steering wheel. The airbag light is always on, the cruise control doesn't work anymore, and the horn no longer works. 3) I have not been able to fix this problem yet.

The contact was displeased to know that there was a cost associated with the recall defect remedy. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 150,000 and current mileage was 153,000.

This is a safety issue and the manufacturer should issue a immediate recall before someone gets kill.

I have a 2000 Chrysler town and country limited all wheel drive Mini van. I brought the van in for service on June 30th because the airbag light was staying on , also nothing was working on the steering wheel. The radio controls, the cruise control, the horn, and I presume the airbag. The dealer is charging me $500. 00 to replace the clock spring in the steering wheel. This is a electronic control box that operates everything in the steering wheel. There should be a recall on this part.

I had a clicking in my steering wheel with air bag light going on & off then it final stayed on. I had no horn or cruise control or radio controls on steering wheel. Took to dealer for repair.

Airbag light flashes, airbag controller and clockspring failed, front passenger side panel protruding out, air bag trying to deploy. Repairs had to be made by replacing the clockspring and new airbag contoller installed. This was on a town and country - 2000 - Chrysler - van.
