Two problems related to turn signal switch have been reported for the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I had two Chrysler products, (one minivan and one ram pickup), with the same concern within a matter of weeks. When turning on the left turn signal, the outside right turn signal flashes. I own a service repair shop and checked my "identifix" data base and see this is a common issue with Chrysler products. The multifunction switch is bad causing this concern.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler town and country. The turn signals failed to operate properly. She could not remember the approximate speed she was traveling when the failure originally occurred. She would engage the turn signals and they either would not turn on or the turn signal for the opposite direction would turn on. The failure began as an intermittent failure but eventually the turn signals stopped working permanently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer which recently lost its certification where it was repaired. Approximately 11 months later the failure began to recur. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where she was informed that there was a failure in the switch which engaged the turn signals. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 45,000 and the current mileage was 72,000. The VIN was unavailable.
