This is now the fourth time the rear shocks have failed.
The rear lift gate on my Mini-van opened fully then came crashing down. It missed my head but hit my shoulder. It could have caused severe injury to an adult or small child. The lift gate now will open fully then come crashing down because of the defective part.
Wireless ignition node module I contacted my dealer several months ago about this recall and they continue to ignore requests.
Recall repair. Went to the dealer with a 9:30 appt, after waiting 2 1/2 hours in the lobby, I checked on the status of my vehicle. I was told that nothing had been done yet, and it would cost me to have the remote starter disconnected in order to do the repair. When I originally purchased the van there was no mention of a remote starter in the description, no "fobs" came with it and I didn't add one. I am told that over 60% of the vehicles in the recall have remote starters. And if they are all in the same boat as I am, they will have to fork out cash to have a "free" recall completed. I believe Chrysler should have, at the very least, noted the additional consumer cost in the the recall letter if they were not going to cover it. However, I do not see how they are not responsible for the full cost. Obviously I want safety for my family so I paid the cost to have this repair completed. However, as a single mom, an unexpected $130 out of my budget is a large chunk and I am not happy with Chrysler for causing me a hardship for their mistake. I am quite sure I am not the only customer who feels this way, especially those who may have to decide between safety and day-to-day living expenses like shelter, food, etc. Considering this is the 3rd recall for my vehicle, and with the way this one was handled, I don't feel that I want to be a future customer. I wonder how many other customers will not be returning!.
I received recall notice r03/NHTSA 14v-373 - wireless ignition node module several months ago. I have continued to call for repair and there is never a part available. Jake sweeney has not made a list of customers to call for the repair, it is a first-come, first serve basis, so if I don't call on the exact day received I will not get the repair.
The car didnt start. I have had the starter abd battery replced within the past year. Each have been tested multiple time because this isnt and isolated incident. I go to turn the car on I have hed the fobik replaced but the problem still exists. The car eventually started after an hour.
I received two safety recalls, l25 / nhtsa14v-373 and r03 / NHTSA 14v-373. I have called bob brady auto mall several times, and I am still waiting for the parts. For safety recall r03 / NHTSA 14v-373, I called on 06/29/2015. They said they must order the parts and will call me when the parts come in. I have checked several times to see if the parts are in. I checked on 07/22/2015, and there are still no parts. As far as l25 / NHTSA 14v-373 is concerned, I never heard back from bob brady auto mall on this issue.
I made an appointment for the recall to be fixed. The dealer called me the night before and said the part was used for another customer. I made the second appointment for June 26, 2015. The dealer called the day before and confirmed. I got to the dealer at 8:10am. At 9:15am a sales associate came out and told me that the part was not there. I wasted my time and am very disappointed!! I do not have anything positive to say about Chrysler. Their customer service is the worst I have ever had to deal with as a consumer. This is one week later and not even the manager has called me. I will never ever purchase with Chrysler again!!.
I called two different local dealers to perform repairs for recall r03 & l25. After 3 months, these repairs have still not been completed. When I call to get an update, or an estimated wait time, I'm told that it will get done when it gets done. It seems to me that these dealers have no intention of completing these repairs.
I received notice of the wireless ignition node June 2015, have went to my dealer then and August 2015, they say they do not have the part to fix it but when it comes in they will call. Now I receive another letter from fca about this issue--give the dealer the part and I could get my van fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I have called gandred in green bay, WI several times since last summer regarding the wireless ignition node module recall. They are claiming that parts are ordered but have never been sent. If this is a recall should't the parts be available and the problem fixed?.
I received a recall notice for my 2008 Chrysler town and country back in may of 2015. The recall number is r03 and has to do with the wireless ignition node module. I have been on a "waiting list" with my local Chrysler dealership in titusville FL for months and every time I call I am still "number 6 on the waiting list". I am concerned for the safety of myself and my family. It is not logical that the dealership has receive zero parts for this important recall in all these months. Please assist.
The vehicle continues to shut down unexpectedly while driving. I must drive in the slow lane on the highway so that I can pull over every time this happens and restart the car. I was driving app. 65 mph when I heard the dreaded click and saw that the key again turned to the off position. The safety of my children and myself is being compromised on a daily basis as I have no other choice than to drive this vehicle as it is not paid off. Chrysler is noncompliant and rude when I contact them monthly to ask about the recall. I currently have no other keys or key chains on the vehicle because I was advised by Chrysler not to. They continue to tell me that the part has not yet been made (I was sent a recall notice last summer).
When I try to turn off the ignition, it will will not go all the way to off. The key will not come out.
I received a recall notice from Chrysler last fall. The NHTSA website dated the recall 6/16/11 and then it was expanded 6/26/14 to include my vehicle with letters being sent to owners 9/11/14. As of today, the problem has not been fixed by Chrysler. I have called them twice and been on hold for over 30 minutes each time and not spoken to anyone! Chrysler has definitely failed to remedy this in a reasonable amount of time. I had an incident yesterday in which my fobik moved to the accessory mode and the engine shut off while I was traveling 67 mph and in moderate traffic. This was very dangerous and gave me quite a scare. I am grateful my three children were not with me. I have followed Chrysler's precautions to ensure my safety, but the incident happened anyway. Chrysler needs to get the defect fixed immediately and in the future maintain better contact with vehicle owners about the status of recalls.
I got in the van and it woul not start. I continued to turn the fobik until it started. I drove the van to Chrysler dealer in collierville tennessee. They installed a win kit. I drove it home and had various electrical problems. The wipers and lights would come on automatically. I took the van back to the same daler. They replaced the tipm. I took it home aagain to discover the van to have the original problem along with the electrical problems. My van has been in the shop approximately 2 months for these problems. It is presently there now. I have spent a total of $1689. 61 for these repairs. I am not getting any results.
I just got my Chrysler town and country, it hasn't even been three months since I got it and now the barometric pressure is low witch is causing other problems witch also cause the car to shut off while driving I have had one person tell me that the car shouldn't be on the road. I was mad because I only got it because I'm expecting my third child. I don't think its right that now I'm stuck with the car and the dealership can't do anything about it, don't get me wrong I love the car it just the problems I'm having with the car. . . The part that's on recall on my car I was told that Chrysler has made the part yet recall l25 I don't think I'll be getting another Chrysler.
My van has been turning off while driving lately. Also sometimes not turning on as well. Very dangerous to continue to drive van in this hazardous condition with my kids. Tried contacting the dealership but no response as of yet. Last time I called to inform about a recall, they denied there was a recall regarding the ignition. . .
My minivan was involved in a recall announced in March of 2015 for ignition switch problems. I have called several dealerships in multiple states trying to get my minivan fixed and none of them have had the parts and no one can tell me when parts will be available to fix the problem. This is a recognized problem and part of a previously announced recall, but fiat Chrysler automobiles has not provided recall parts to dealerships or updated anyone about the progress of the recall. It has been almost one year since the recall was announced with no progress on my vehicle.
I received a recall notice on my van. Called the local dealer & was told parts were on backorder. The dealer stated I would receive another form from Chrysler when parts were available. I waited several months & called the 800 hotline; recording stated parts were still on backorder. It has now been a couple months & no word. Are parts still on backorder? what's taking so long? thank you for your time in dealing with this matter. Sue lockhart.
There was a recall on the fobik back on June 16, 2011. The part is still unavailable. I feel this can be quite dangerous and I'm not confident that the part is even being manunactured. My vehicle has already shut off once due to this recall.
Wife stated that she went to her car to leave from work and once she got close to the vehicle the horn began blaring non stop, wipers running, fluid spurting out, dash lights going on and off and door locks going up and down. I arrived and removed the battery cable and it stopped. I replaced the cable a short time later and was able to start the vehicle and I started driving it home and as I got up to about 30 mph it did it again and this time the car cut off and I lost steering and brakes but was able to come to a stop on the side of the busy street I was on. I removed the key from the ignition and got out of the vehicle at which point I noticed that the car had cut back on and was actually running without the key in the ignition. I drove it home without further incident. At 3 am the same night we were awakened by the vehicles horn blaring in the driveway. I went outside and it was doing the same thing that my wife originally stated but the car was actually running without a key being anywhere near it - we do not have the remote start installed on the vehicle. My wife and I refuse to drive it due to the fact that if the above problems happen at 70 mph we would probably be dead.
I have been waiting to be notified that the frequency operated button ignition key has come in. Today when I went to start the van it seems that it wants to start but hesitates I tried several times but it kept doing the same thing. I cleaned the air filter, checked the hoses and battery but found nothing wrong. When I called the dealer they said they would call me back. I then called the Chrysler recall 800 number and was informed that the part was still not available. I asked if there was a solution and the gentleman said it could be from 1-3 months before the part was available. This is my only means of transportation and he stated if I changed the ignition module I would not be reimbursed, I have already replaced the fuel pump in the tank at 50,000 miles the sway bar on the right was replaced and I still need to replace the left one. I usually travel with my grandchildren and it has been one issue or another since I bought it. The brakes and roters have also been replaced because it would be slow in braking causing a dangerous situation.
I have had trouble getting my key out of the ignition. It gets stuck in the acc mode. After shifting through the gears several times it usually releases and allows me to get it out. However, when I went to start my car the other morning, my key wouldn't even go in the slot at all!!! now, I am stuck with this crap van that costs a ton to fix. I called the dealer about the l-25 recall because mine hasn't been fixed and they were told by Chrysler that they can't fix that right now. Apparently, whatever they were doing to fix it wasn't working so until they come up with another plan, they can't do it. I hate to pay to fix a part that they will have to replace on recall anyway. Chrysler vans are junk.
The vehicle electrical system failed while the car was in use. There was no power to any system in the car except the rear wiper kept goinjg even after the engine key was removed. Lights would randomly come on and off while the car was off until the battery ran down. The dealer said the tipm or (totally integrated power module) failed. I was lucky me or my family was not injured over this failure.
I have been waiting for close to one year on my l25 recall to be fixed. The dealership has routinely told me that they don't have the parts in yet and that this has been a very chaotic and crazy process for them as well. Now I just received a second recall on r03. I'm concerned because of the safety dangers: engine shut off and potential death!!!! I've been "rolling the dice" long enough and want this recall notice taken care of. Your company should want this taken care immediately as well to avoid pending litigation and lawsuits should something happen to your customers in the event that a recall isn't fixed in a timely matter. I need both my key fobs replaced immediately. I'm tired of waiting and worried about the potential outcome.
After trying several times this year, we have been unable to get our dealer to comply with correcting the recall for the ignition switch (fobik) that may accidentally turn off. Pearson Chrysler 8250 w broad strichmond,va23294 sales:(888) 419-3820 service:(866) 941-6215 parts:(800) 215-7538.
The rear ac evaporator started leaking, similar to famous 2006 town and country problem, but no recall or service extension yet. 700 usd later the problem was fixed but out of my pocket and there is an upgraded part so it seems Chrysler know about the problem.
Starting in Dec. 2014 my vehicle would not start, it just clicked and clicked but would not start. The dealer said the wire harness needed replaced but they only spliced the cable and replaced the battery terminals which did not fix the problem and later both cables spliced melted. The starter had to be replaced but still had the starting problem, start sometimes or would click, click, click however many times until it started. It has been into the dealer 4 times and still going back again after replacing the ignition switch and finally putting in a new harness August 17, 2015, had it back one day and 35 clicks later it started; will be taking back to the dealer next week to continue searching for why it keeps doing this. I fear that it will just turn off and stop in the street again as it did Aug. 5, 2015, that was so scary! I have seen forums online that has person after person complaining of the same problem. That is why I decided to write a compliant here. Before all of this at the dealer it would not start so put in a new battery but it did not fix the problem. Intermittent problems make it so hard to know when it will happen or not.
The key phobe gets stuck in the ignition and wont turn all the way off and today I put the key in and the ignition would not turn. This is an ongoing issue that has resulted in me being stranded until the igniton decides to work.
I have received (3) individual recall notices, going back to around 2014-15 concerning an "important safety recall" concerning "wireless ignition node module defects. I immediately contacted the local dealership I purchased the car from, friendship Chrysler in bristol, TN, and was told I would be placed on a waiting list. Today's date is January 23, 2016, I have since received two additional notices, but have only been told by the dealership that the part is not in and I am on a waiting list. This is a major safety issue involving a van that is typically purchased to "safely" transport families. I think the delay is insane. Please tell me what the holdup is?.
My wife experienced an electric shock from the driver seat when she started the engine and the electric shocks continued while the engine was running. The electric shock was severe, causing pain and forcing her to get out of the seat, and continued while she sat in the seat. The electric shocks appear to come from the right side of the seat cushion. In order to drive the vehicle she had to insulate herself with cardboard which appear to muffle the shocks so she can drive the van home. There were no burning smells only a steady continuous electric shock.
I am filing a complaint against Chrysler's inability to correct their recall l-25. I was told that these parts will not be available until February 2015. My vehicle has experienced a problem with the ignition as the recall file states, shutting off at times and even not starting again due to improper ignition alignment. I feel like this is a very dangerous issue for myself and my family. We feel this vehicle is unsafe to drive as it is and at times is undriveable due to not being able to start it. I was given a quote from a Chrysler dealership of $340 plus labor to resolve the issue since the actual recall part is unavailable, though they could not guarantee that I would be reimbursed by Chrysler. It feels like Chrysler is forcing their drivers to take care of their recall matter at the customers own risk and out of their own pocket. I cannot believe that anyone is allowing this company to make us wait on such a recall, especially those of us encountering the problem and cannot use the vehicle. I feel that there should be an approval sent to the customers and dealerships to where they can get these unsafe vehicles fixed, now, with the wind module kit, rather than putting us and others at further risk and lives possibly being taken. I hope this matter can be resolved very soon. This is my only vehicle and I cannot wait days nor months, till February, for Chrysler to help.
I had received notice that my chrystler Town & Country was possibly part of a recall for the fobik issue. I made an appt with the dealership & it was confirmed that the vehicle was part of the recall. While driving with my four children down at 45 miles per hour, the engine did "unintentionally shut off". Fortunately, I was in an outside lane and was able to coast to the edge of the road without incident. I contacted the vehicle safety hotline that day regarding my concern that there are no parts available to fix a known problem & spoke with chris. I was added to an email notification list at that time. To date, I had not been contacted. I spoke with monifa from the vehicle safety hotline today & was directed to call chrystler. I spoke with a representative at 800-992-1997 to explain my concerns. They stated that parts were not available and that there was no one else to talk to about it. That isn't a satisfactory answer. I need a safe vehicle for my family. What else can be done?.
Engine shut off when car was in motion because the fobik slipped into accessory mode on two different occasions. Local Chrysler dealership (cross motors louisville, ky) claims to be unable to get parts from Chrysler corp.
