1 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Failure Date: 12/27/2017

We have had numerous time when the van will not start. The engine sounds like it is trying to turn over but nothing happens and the engine light comes on. After numerous attempts the van starts. When it has been taken in to the Chrysler dealership they are unable to diagnose the problem due to the code being resolved. More importantly the van stalled while driving 70 mph on the highway. Lights, radio, fans all worked but the engine just shut off. Chrysler dealership stated they couldn't find the issue and put a new battery in. After picking up the vehicle is stalled again going 30 mph in town. Again van was towed to the dealership and again was told the codes were resolved so they were unable to figure out what was wrong. They state that they see there are a lot of electrical codes but that they are unable to read them because they have been resolved. Vehicle has 144000 miles on it and has regular maintenance done.

2 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Failure Date: 11/24/2016

While driving down the road 2 times this week - my vans electrical system completely turned off for about 2-5 seconds and turned back on. This includes: tvs, driver dash, radio dash all interior lightening -both times happened during the day I am not sure about outside lights (I assume). The first time the van stalled completely losing power steering and had to restart engine. The 2nd time I could still gas the van with power steering before all electrical restarted itself. Both times I was driving on a busy road going straight (mph 30-45pmh).

3 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Failure Date: 09/28/2014

I have had the van for three and a half years. First, when I got van, I took it back in for rear hatch opening on its own. It would just open. We could be at walmart or in the garage, and it would be open. We had issues with keys. Car would start beeping and say key not detected. If you opened a door, but didn't turn car off, car would say key not detected. We have to turn car off and restart. My husbands key set gas never worked. Then last year, I had to have the entire console replaced because radio and satellite and navigation would just shut down. Now, it just died Sunday. Had to jump van. Took to firestone, and they didn't know what was going on. Needless to say, I'm being told by the dealership that it's the tpim causing the fuel pump to not shut off. It's been there since Monday. In fact, we took it home Monday after paying for dealership to reconfigure the electrical. Car had to go back Tuesday. Received a call today that it was the tpim causing fuel pump to not shut down. Expensive repair.

4 Radio/tape Cd Player problem

Failure Date: 09/25/2014

After turning on ignition, windshield wipers turned on highest speed, although switch indicated they were turned off, there were no lights illuminated on the instrument panel, the speed, temperature and message center was not working, radio was working but had no lights, air and heat panel was working, turn signals were not working. Appeared to be electrical or computer malfunction. Turned the vehicle off and on twice to attempt to fix issue, but same issue occurred again both times. On the third attempt of turning off vehicle and re-starting, switched on and off the light switches, wiper switch, turn signal indicators a few times, and lights and messages came back on. Concerned that possible computer malfunction may override operator's ability to control lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and other safety necessities while vehicle is in motion. Software update/recall had been performed approximately two months ago.
