Driving down the road and vehicle completely shutdown, no power steering, little braking, no lights on display. This would happen randomly with no engine light warnings. Happens multiple times. Once shutdown in middle of major intersection and it would not start up, would try to turn over. It also seems to happen around 35-45 mph and coming to a stop. Took it to dealership hooked it up on computer no engine light or sensor triped and while it was idling car shutdown asked service manager to check about a recall on 2011 vehicles (p54) but they said no recall. I take it to work every day less then a mile away and car has shutdown on me twice. Afraid to drive it any distance.
While driving vehicle it shut off and lost power steering and power brakes. Once to a complete stop, turned vehicle off and turned back on. Resumed normal driving function.
Engine shut down. Drove to local eatery; when I came out 15 minutes later car would not start. Had to tow it home and Chrysler service in my town could not service my car until a week later. Car has just 60,000 miles.
Engine shuts off while driving. Feb-8, 2017 was fourth time this occurred in last 4 months. Has happened while stopped at a light, turning left into an intersection, and driving 35mph straight on a city street. Weather has been both warm and cold, van has been well warmed up or recently-started; there doesn't seem to be a noticeable pattern. The behavior is similar to what it would be if the key fob was turned from on to acc -- e. G. The radio is still playing but the engine shuts off. All power to brakes and steering is lost; I don't know if the airbags are still functioning at this point. In all four cases, the car was easily re-started by first turning the key fob to off, then started again. This is obviously a major safety issue as it can occur seemingly at any time, without notice.
Vehicle will randomly shut off while driving or idling. Has happend about 8 times in last 4 months. Have to coast to road side, put care in park and restart. Engine shuts down, electrical turns off for a second.
The system dash flashes and the. Whole car shuts down completely off while driving or sitting still. The system flickers and then turns engine off or lights go off and engine is on. The car has been hesitating since 2015 and lights flickering in 2016.
Was driving on highway. My knee touched the key ring. Vehicles engine shut off. Brakes lost power. Had a very difficult time steering and getting vehicle stopped on highway. Had to get it in park to restart car.
