Fuses And Circuit Breaker Problems of Chrysler Town & Country

The contact owns a 2009 Chrysler town and country. While driving approximately 30 mph, the contact smelled an electrical burning odor inside of the vehicle. The contact pulled over to the side of the road to inspect the vehicle and noticed that small flames were coming from the rear area of the passenger automatic sliding door. The fire department removed the door panel and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer for diagnosis and repair. The contact discovered that there was a recall related to the failure under NHTSA campaign id number 09v046000 (electrical system: fuses and circuit breakers electrical system: fuses and circuit breakers). The contact was uncertain if the VIN was included in the recall, and planned to notify the dealer. The failure mileage was 15,000.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle were defective and would refuse to open. The NHTSA campaign id number: 09v046000 (electrical system:fuses and circuit breakers) recall was issued, but the VIN was not associated. The dealer and manufacturer were notified, but denied any assistance with repair to the defect. A local mechanic diagnosed that a defective wire (that continues to snap in half) would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. While driving 20 mph srs light and the check engine light appeared on the dashboard. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the electrical fuses and circuit breakers needed to be replaced.

About a month after I purchased my new Town & Country limited. A fuse has been blown for about 20 times. From what I can see some system stop working or malfunction including radio/cd electric doors a/c electric lock. It is possible that there are more malfunction system that I can't detect.
