I have a 2016 Chrysler town and country with 89,000 miles. My sliding driver side door won't unlock or open. Was able to get door unlocked, but had to pull the plug to disable the locking motor to stop the loud gear grinding sound every time the electric door lock would engage. Did not want the door lock to be in the locked position if or when the gears would possibly grind down to nothing. Can only manually open and close the door and manually lock and unlock it also. All other electrical functions like power windows, power open/close function, and latch assist no longer work due to disconnecting the power supply at the bottom of the door. The vehicle was stationary in the garage when the problem was discovered. It was two months before I got the door unlocked and able to open from info on the internet.
Rear slider door locked and could not use this door locking asembly would not release door had to use other side if I had accident and car was on side I would not get out thanks vehicle was stopped.
The passenger electric door locks failed in the unlocked position. We we're unable to lock the door. Dealer suggested to note this safety related issue to antsy.
Driver and passenger sliding door lock failure; refuses to engage to lock the doors while stationary or in motion; when click the door lock button on key fob makes a loud noise on each door and when driving after a short period of time when auto lock tries to engage makes load noises on each side.
We have had continuous problems with the engine stalling while driving. Sometime the dash lights, radio, outside lights flicker before the engine quits. After pulling to the side of the road, the key will not come out of the ignition. No lights will be on when turning to acc or on position. The door locks will not operate. Nothing works. We have nothing attached to the ignition key. I have tried wiggling, pushing, pulling on the key to get it to work. Nothing! then randomly, everything comes back on and the engine will start. We have not had an accident, yet! but if these issues continue, we will. Troubleshooting doesn't do much good because it is so random.
