2 Steering Rack And Pinion problem of the 2001 Chrysler Voyager

Failure Date: 02/23/2006

: the contact stated while driving 60 mph while attempting to turn the steering wheel would only turn one way. The steering wheel felt as if it locked up, the contact jerked the wheel and this in turn freed the wheel. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop the problem was the rack and pinion had failed. Repairs have been made, the manufacturer has been alerted. Updated 03/22/06.

3 Steering Rack And Pinion problem of the 2002 Chrysler Voyager

Failure Date: 11/15/2004

Rack and pinion failed and was replaced with less then 60,000 miles. This is way to early and needs to be determined if this is a common problem or am I just unlucky. There was no incident just repair expense since it was fixed before complete failure.
